The Liberals and anti-gun groups love talking about โ€œstraw purchasingโ€- a problem we rarely (RARELY), if ever, see.

But what about โ€œStraw - Requisitioning from the armouryโ€?

Two Canadian soldiers are now facing charges involving the alleged theft of fi****ms and weapons from the military for the purposes of organized crime.

Two Toronto soldiers have been removed from their military duties and blocked from using their base or army equipment since they were arrested this past August on charges related to organized crime, kidnapping and theft of guns and weapons, the Department of National Defence confirmed late Friday.

Sachintha Fernando and James Moreau are members of the 7th Toronto Regiment, a reserve artillery unit based at Moss Park Armoury in Toronto.

โ€œWe are aware that both individuals were arrested by the Toronto Police Service on August 11, 2026, on charges related to organized crime, kidnapping, and the theft of fi****ms and weapons,โ€ National Defence spokesperson Andrรฉe-Anne Poulin wrote in an email sent late Friday in response to questions the Post posed last Monday about the two soldiers.

Both men are bombardiers, a rank in the artillery branch thatโ€™s equivalent to corporal.

โ€œBombardier Fernando enrolled in the Canadian Army as a Reservist in January 2020. He has not deployed on a Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) operation,โ€ Poulin said.

โ€œBombardier Moreau enrolled in the Canadian Army as a Reservist in March 2018 and deployed on Operation LASER in 2020.โ€

That operation was the Canadian militaryโ€™s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

โ€œFollowing their arrests, both individuals were removed from military duties and their access to CAF equipment, facilities, and bases was restricted,โ€ Poulin said.

โ€œThey remain members of the CAF pending the outcome of an administrative review. An administrative review is a formal process used to assess matters that may affect a memberโ€™s continued service while providing procedural fairness.โ€

The Army is supporting โ€œthe Toronto Police Serviceโ€™s ongoing investigation,โ€ Poulin said.

The Toronto police was not able to immediately provide more details on the case late Friday.

One source said both soldiers have taught new recruits at Ontarioโ€™s CFB Borden.

THEY WANT THE GUNS. GOVERNMENT WANTS CHATGPT.

The B.C. government is suing OpenAI, alleging the company failed to notify police about threatening ChatGPT activity before the Tumbler Ridge murders. At the same time, โ€œgun-controlโ€ organizations are demanding the RCMP to release detailed information about the fi****ms used in the murders so those facts can inform future fi****ms-policy debates.

Canadians still donโ€™t have the complete picture about what happened. The RCMP says the investigation remains active, so it hasnโ€™t released all fi***rm details.

So why rush to another prohibition list?

Before new restrictions are proposed, Canadians deserve answers.

How were the fi****ms obtained?

Who legally owned them?

What happened with fi****ms previously seized from the residence?

Did existing laws failโ€”or were they not properly enforced?

And why did OpenAI allegedly identify threatening activity without notifying law enforcement?

Those questions should be investigated together, not selectively.

Looking at ChatGPT does not mean ignoring the fi****ms.

Looking at the fi****ms does not mean ignoring ChatGPT.

Licensed Canadian hunters and sport shooters did not fail to report the ChatGPT activity. They did not conduct the police investigation. They did not decide what information should remain sealed.

They should not become the default target before all the evidence is known.

Follow the evidence. Get the facts. Then debate policy.

Not the other way around.

Perhaps we should say that our Charter Rights have been violated by failing to provide a viable legal pathway for handguns.

Today, the B.C. Supreme Court struck down a key provision of Canadaโ€™s drug-trafficking laws in a case involving two activists who purchased he**in, co***ne, and methamphetamine online and sold them through a โ€œsafe supplyโ€ scheme.

The court found that the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act violated Charter rights by failing to provide a viable legal pathway for non-medical โ€œsafe supplyโ€ programs.

The ruling could have significant implications for drug enforcement, with impacts as severe as letting dealers who verify their drugs as โ€œsafeโ€ off the hook.

The Liberals must appeal this ruling. Dealing serious drugs must be met with serious criminal penalties. Iโ€™m shocked that I even have to say this.

Today I was called by an OPP detective to receive a subpoena to appear as a witness at a murder trial in November.

This occurred in February 2024 , so it's been a long journey.

Tonight I went to the Wasaga OPP station to obtain it.

I told the cop my connection to the Canadian Fi****ms Network ...that I believed in Castle Doctrine rights , concealed carry, that we need cops speaking up for fi****ms owners and that I met cops with illegal machine guns but I would not identify them.

He smiled....lol.

Bill C-34, the so-called Safe Social Media Act, would make Canadians prove their age to use social media and give a new federal commission sweeping powers over online speech.

Tell your MP that protecting children should not come at the cost of everyoneโ€™s privacy and freedom of expression.
