Dol purnima, or dol jatra, is a festival celebrated during Holi by Hindus in Bangladesh and some parts of India. It is a joyous and colourful celebration of the divine love between Radha and Krishna — a love story that holds a special place in Bengali culture. BSA-UTSG wishes those who celebrate a wonderful Dol Purnima!

BSA-UTSG’s statement on the current state of women’s rights in Bangladesh.

We echo the calls to the interim government to take immediate action against perpetrators of gender-based violence, reform laws to enshrine the safety and security of women, and strengthen law enforcement to prevent such violence taking place.

We also urge Bangladeshis to stand against injustice of all forms and work to ensure the safety, security, and dignity of all women.
