Hiring Musical Theatre Instructors for our Performing Arts Summer Day Camp!
We are looking to hire experienced musical theatre instructors for our Performing Arts Summer Day Camp.
We are looking for:
a) a vocal instructor/co-musical director,
b) a choreographer/co-musical director,
c) a theatre production instructor who can build props and paint backdrops.
The instructors will be in charge of co-teaching and co-directing young people between the ages of 7 -14 and will work with them towards a full-scale musical theatre production that will be performed in a theatre at the end of each two week camp session.
Instructors must be available to teach 3 camp sessions: Mon. - Fri. July 3 -14, July 17-28, and August 21-Sept. 1 from 8:45 am – 4 pm.
REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate should:
1. Enjoy working and have previous experience teaching drama, art, dance, and or voice to young people (ages 7 to 14).
2. Possess a theatre, dance or music related degree or be enrolled in a post- secondary music/musical theatre/drama program.
3. Be willing to assist with the rest of the camp activities throughout the day.
4. Have First Aid training and be willing to have a police record check.
5. We are looking for individuals who are punctual, reliable, excellent communicators, organized and effective group leaders, and can be enthusiastic, energetic and inspirational with groups of young people. Having previous summer camp teaching experience is a great asset.
