It has now been about 7 years since I started teaching my first student and I have to say I enjoy teaching drums more then ever.
Even though I have moved onto other forms of business in the entertainment and production industries, I do my very best to have time and teach my dedicated students every week.
There is nothing more rewarding then seeing students grow up, improve and become not just drumming students but real drummers.
What I find disappointing is that several of my drummers are looking for bands to play with and unfortunately are having a very hard time finding fellow musicians their age.
This is due to the lack of financing to arts and music programs in schools,(especially private schools) as well as the fact that kids are busy with video games and virtual reality.
I highly encourage all parents to enroll their children in music programs as music really does develop confidence, self esteem, self value, hand and eye coordination, social skills and general drive to keep improving.
