Home Sweet Home was created on the founding principle that children grow through unique and specific stages of development between the ages of 0-24.

Specifically attaining to the developmental years between 1-12, our comprehensive program, based on the founding principles of Maria Montessori, allow our children to engage in self-directed learning experiences that prepare them academically, socially, physically and emotionally. It is our aim to help shape each individual’s foundation for life. Maria Montessori, the first Italian woman to become

At Every Child’s Montessori Enrichment School, we believe children learn most powerfully when they actively seek understanding, not simply receive answers.

When our students encounter a word they do not know, they are encouraged to:
• look it up independently
• discuss it with others
• use it in conversation and writing
• explore synonyms and related meanings
• break down unfamiliar words within the definition itself until true understanding is reached

Learning is not memorizing definitions.
It is developing clarity, curiosity, communication, critical thinking, and the confidence to engage deeply with language.

Our goal is not simply for children to repeat information, but to understand it so fully they can explain it, apply it, and use it with ease.

This is how vocabulary becomes part of a child’s thinking, not just part of an assignment.

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the incredible mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures in our community. 🌷

On Friday, we had the absolute privilege of hosting our special Mother’s Day Tea Party for the wonderful mothers in our school community. Watching the children proudly prepare, celebrate, and share these meaningful moments with you was truly so special.

Thank you for the love, care, patience, and dedication you pour into your children each and every day. The strength, compassion, and support you provide shape not only your child’s life, but our entire community as well.

We are deeply grateful for the trust you place in us and for the opportunity to walk alongside your families during these important early years.

From all of us at Every Child’s Montessori Enrichment School, we wish you a beautiful Mother’s Day filled with love, appreciation, and cherished moments with your children. 💐

Today in the Elementary Classroom:

Our students worked with the Geometric Hierarchy of Numbers, a beautiful Montessori material that represents quantity from units all the way to the millions place value.

For our Grade 2 and Grade 3 students, this lesson served as a review and extension of previous work. For our Elementary Prep students (third-year Casa) and Grade 1, this was their first introduction to the material.

One of the powerful aspects of Montessori education is that materials are revisited year after year. Each time children return to a material, they do so with a deeper level of understanding. This process allows them to expand their knowledge, make stronger connections, and gradually move closer to mastery.

In today’s lesson, students connected their previous work with the Golden Beads to the cube representations found in the Geometric Hierarchy. This helps bridge their understanding from the concrete materials toward more abstract mathematical thinking.

Our Grade 2 and Grade 3 students took the work a step further by practicing multiplication using the bead frame paper, solving both static and dynamic multiplication problems involving numbers reaching into the millions place value.

Some of our Grade 3 students are now beginning to move beyond the bead frame, demonstrating increasing confidence and solidifying their abstract understanding of large numbers and operations.

It is always inspiring to see how children build upon their knowledge year after year, developing both mathematical confidence and independence in their thinking.

This morning in our Lower Elementary, we took our writing lesson outdoors! 🌿✏️

Our Grade 2 and 3 students worked on crafting full paragraphs inspired by nature, with a strong focus on mastering paragraph structure, grammar, punctuation, and capitalization. After writing, we edited their work together to strengthen their ideas and presentation.

Our Grade 1 students practiced writing multiple sentences, continuing to build their confidence in expressing their thoughts clearly in writing.

Our third-year Casa students each wrote a sentence inspired by what they observed around them, with special attention to punctuation and capitalization.

Afterward, everyone illustrated what inspired their writing — and it turns out our backyard trees were a favorite! 🌳

Learning outdoors brought so much joy to the process and reminded us how powerful nature can be in sparking creativity and thoughtful writing.

Why am I so passionate about this work?

Because you can’t “wrap up” a moment like this.

A 4.5-year-old mind in deep concentration.
Creating.
Solving.
Persisting.
Achieving.

And once you witness it,
you understand what is possible for every child. 🤍✨

This past week was full in the best way.

Alongside our regular enrichment programs: Taekwondo 🥋, Sports Foundations & The Growth Lab: A Leadership Program for Young People, our students also celebrated the 100th Day of School and Valentine’s Day!

Moments like these matter. They build community, creativity, and pride in meaningful work.

Our Casa students carefully created tiny heart-shaped fingerprint magnets, small pieces made with focus and joy.

Our Elementary students designed beautiful candle jars, showing patience, detail, and artistic expression.

Celebrations in a Montessori environment are never just about the holiday.
They are opportunities for practical life, fine motor development, creativity, and shared experience.

Take a look at some of their work. We’re so proud of them!

📸 Strike a pose — it’s Picture Day!

We are grateful for our long-standing partnership with Focus on Children Photography. We have worked together for many years, and their team continues to impress us with their professionalism, efficiency, and genuine care for our students.

Not only are they both wonderful and hilarious with children, but they are also consistently prompt in delivering both proofs and final photos. Most importantly, they make picture day a positive and memorable experience for our students.

Parents often share how much they love the authenticity of their child’s smile in the photos a true testament to how comfortable and confident the children feel during their session.

Thank you for your continued partnership and for capturing our students so beautifully, year after year.
