The Académie du Vin Foundation Course returns to Toronto.
In 1973, Steven Spurrier established this w**e course in Paris, shaping the way a generation approached tasting. That legacy continues at Vintage Conservatory, Yorkville.
Across three evening sessions, participants are guided through:
🍇 The Art of Tasting — the fundamentals of service and structured tasting
🍇 Viticulture — terroir and the regional influences that define a w**e's character
🍇 Viniculture, Collection & Storage — production methods, and the principles of building and preserving a collection
Led by our course director Megan McDonald, DipWSET. Each session includes three flights of w**e, each paired with a carefully prepared meal. Participants also receive a complimentary copy of Steven Spurrier’s Académie du Vin W**e Course book.
There are no examinations — the course is designed for genuine engagement and appreciation, suited equally to those new to w**e and to established collectors.
