TERM 1 – Sprint

TERM 2 – Backlog
The backlog is the master to-do list for the team. It contains every feature, fix, and improvement that needs to be done, ordered by priority. The Product Owner maintains it.

TERM 3 – Stand-up
A daily 15-minute check-in. Three questions: What did you do yesterday? What are you doing today? Is anything blocking you? It’s designed to be short and focused.

TERM 4 – Stakeholder
Anyone who has an interest in the project’s outcome: clients, executives, end users. Not on the team, but with a stake in what the team delivers.

TERM 5 – Roadmap
The high-level visual plan showing what the team is building and when. Think of it as the GPS for the product journey direction without turn-by-turn instructions.

TERM 6 – Retrospective
A structured team reflection at the end of each sprint. What went well? What needs improvement? What do we commit to doing differently? It’s about getting better, not pointing fingers.

TERM 7 – Velocity
How much work a team typically completes in a sprint. Used for planning future sprints and managing stakeholder expectations.
