Marisa Sterling for Trustee

Terry Fox inspired so many Canadians with his marathon of hope. He wanted to teach and coach kids to be their best.

I’m running for TDSB Trustee to help kids and their families get the resources they need to succeed. ❤️

Out at 8am today at Birchcliff Heights P.S. wearing purple and red in solidarity with today’s provincial day of action for public education. With trustee Michelle Aarts and community advocate Brian Gregoire.

Talked with parents about how important their local community voice is in how their schools are resourced and run. And that’s a job for their TDSB Trustee 🙂

Get out Oct 26 and vote STERLING for
STUDENT SUCCESS to keep local community representation in our schools.

This summer I visited Mile 0 in Terry Fox’s Marathon of Hope.

Terry inspired hope in Canadians that anything is possible if you try. And Terry had been planning to be a teacher and coach to help young people realize their dreams.

This Sunday, I’ll be participating in the Toronto - Beaches Terry Fox Run with the Balmy Beach Club running group. Please consider donating to support cancer research and make a real impact.

From the soccer fields in Woodbine and Pantry Park, to the community BBQs hosted by the Fallingbrook Heights Baptist Church and the Cliffcrest Scarborough Village Southwest Residents Association, it was a busy weekend having meaningful conversations with residents about our public schools 📚🚌🎓

I have fond memories of Premier Bill Davis. I was an Ontario Legislative Page during the term of his government. I was supported by his Minister of Education, Hon/Dr Bette Stephenson. It was my first introduction to politics and public policy while I was in grade 8. My sincere condolences to his family on his passing this morning.

Ontarians picked him as their 18th premier when he was just 41 years old. Today, he turns 90 — and he’s still going strong.

To use a hockey analogy, my opponent's platform is focused on where the puck is coming from, whereas I am focused on where it is going. Wouldn't you feel safer knowing that engineers aren't just looking in the rear-view mirror but are one step ahead and keeping you safe?

Elections are happening now to the board of governors of Ontario's engineering regulator, PEO - Professional Engineers Ontario, and I am running for President.

There is an election happening right now in Ontario. It is to select the next governing board for engineers.
