Just days after its release, Cumulative Leadership Culture: Mastering the 5-Step Tactical System reached:

šŸ† #5 Bestseller in three Amazon Canada business categories:
• Business Strategy & Competition
• Business Systems & Planning
• Systems & Planning

And in the U.S. Kindle Store, the book entered the Top 40 in:
• Business Leadership Training — #37
• Management Skills — #37

For a first-time independent author, this is both humbling and encouraging.

I didn't write this book to chase rankings.

I wrote it because, after decades of military leadership, executive leadership, teaching, consulting, and coaching, I became convinced of one truth:

Strong organizational cultures don't happen by chance.

They are built intentionally, one leadership decision at a time.

And those decisions accumulate into culture.

Seeing leaders from different countries already embracing this message gives me hope that, together, we can help organizations move from culture by default to culture by design.

To everyone who purchased the book, attended a launch, shared my posts, reviewed it, or simply encouraged me along the way:

Thank you! šŸ™

You are part of this achievement.

This is only the beginning.

If you've already started reading the book, I'd love to hear which idea resonates with you most. Your feedback will help shape future conversations on leadership and organizational culture.

A conversation about leadership, courage, responsibility, and the journey that shaped me.

I had the privilege of speaking with Ecaterina Sidorenco for BizSamurai Production in Moldova.

We talked about my military journey, humanitarian demining in Iraq, difficult decisions, fear, and the transition from military leadership to developing leaders in business.

We also discussed authentic leadership, why developing leaders matters more than creating followers, and why Moldova’s greatest resource is its people.

Thank you, Ecaterina, and the BizSamurai team for this meaningful conversation.

Coming back to the Republic of Moldova after many years was more than a personal journey.

I came back to reconnect with former colleagues, friends, and the Moldovan business community — and to share the lessons I have learned throughout my leadership journey.

But I also came with a question:

Is the Moldovan business community ready to move from talking about corporate culture to intentionally transforming it?

My book, Cumulative Leadership Culture: Mastering the 5 Step Tactical System, is the result of decades of leadership, military experience, corporate management, coaching, and lessons learned from working with people.

But the book is not the destination.

The real work begins when leaders take those ideas back to their organizations and turn them into daily decisions, behaviors, and habits.

Because culture is not created in a workshop.

Culture accumulates, one leader, one decision, one conversation, and one action at a time.

It was an honor to stand in front of the Moldovan business community and have these conversations.

And I left Moldova with something even more valuable than I brought with me:

the belief that there is a growing appetite for meaningful leadership and corporate culture transformation.

The journey continues.

Leadership is about people. And how well we lead them matters.

I’m pleased to announce that on August 21 at 5:00 PM, I will be hosting a special leadership event in Chișinău, Moldova.

This is an opportunity to share practical leadership ideas, connect with people, and discuss one of the most important questions facing every organization:

How well are we really leading our people?

During the event, I will share insights from my leadership journey — from military leadership and teaching to corporate leadership, consulting, coaching, and organizational culture transformation.

I will also introduce my book:

šŸ“– Cumulative Leadership Culture: Mastering the 5 Step Tactical System

The book is the result of my leadership journey and the experiences, lessons, and principles I have accumulated over the years. At its core is the 5 Step Tactical System — a practical approach designed to help leaders create clarity, alignment, competence, confidence, and ultimately stronger ex*****on.

The event will include:

šŸ”¹ Practical leadership presentation
šŸ”¹ Introduction to the 5 Step Tactical System
šŸ”¹ Q&A and meaningful conversations
šŸ”¹ Book signing
šŸ”¹ Photos and networking

Most importantly, my goal is to add value to every person who attends.

The book comes afterward — as a result of the journey and as a practical resource for those who want to continue developing their leadership.

The event is FREE, but registration is required.

A week ago, I had the privilege of signing the first copies of Cumulative Leadership Culture here in Canada.

It was a special moment—not because my name was on the cover, but because every signed copy represents a leader who wants to build a stronger team and a healthier culture.

Writing this book took years of experience, challenges, and lessons learned in both military and corporate leadership. Seeing it now in the hands of readers reminds me why the journey was worth it.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this mission. This is just the beginning.

People have asked me why I decided to write Cumulative Leadership Culture.
The answer is simple.

After more than 30 years of leading in different industries, in the military, teaching future leaders, serving in executive leadership, and helping organizations transform their cultures, I realized something:

Leadership is not about titles, ranks, or a position. It's about the culture we create every day through our decisions, our actions, and the example we set.

Throughout my career, I made mistakes, learned difficult lessons, celebrated successes, and discovered principles that consistently helped people and organizations grow. I didn't want those lessons to stay only with me.

That's why I wrote this book.

My hope is that it will help leaders avoid some of the mistakes I made, develop stronger teams, and intentionally build a culture where people can thrive.

The 5 Step Tactical System isn't just a theory. It's a practical framework and philosophy shaped by real experience and refined over decades of leading people through challenges and change.

If this book helps even one leader build a stronger team, create a healthier culture, or positively influence the next generation, then every hour spent writing it will have been worthwhile.

Leadership leaves a legacy.

My goal with this book is simple: to help leaders move from managing culture by default to intentionally creating culture by design.

After a lifetime of leadership experiences, I believe every leader must answer one fundamental question:
ā€œWhen people look back at my leadership, will they remember only what I accomplished, or how I helped them grow?ā€

Practical Guide for Leaders to Thrive

1. Start with Self-Reflection
Ask yourself:
Am I valuing people or just expecting results?

Daily reflection:
2 minutes to honestly assess how your actions affect your team.

Tip:
Keep a simple journal of wins and failures in valuing your people.

Most investors look at numbers.
I look at culture.

Culture decides if money grows… or fails.

It drives ex*****on, innovation, engagement, and retention.
A strong culture multiplies results.
A weak culture slowly erodes them.

Numbers don’t lie—but culture tells the real story.

What’s your organization doing to make culture your growth engine?

The ability to see value in people—and the willingness to change—can make or break your leadership.

I’ve seen brilliant strategies fail because the leader couldn't recognize the potential in their team.

And I’ve seen small teams do extraordinary things because someone believed in them before they believed in themselves.

Here’s the truth:
- If you can't see the value in people, you'll never build a team worth following.
- If you’re not willing to change, your team won’t grow—and neither will you.

The greatest leaders I’ve worked with had the humility to adapt and the wisdom to invest in their people.
They didn’t just manage performance. They developed people.
They didn’t just demand results. They modeled growth.

If you want to grow your company, your culture, or your team—start here:
šŸ‘‰ Look for value in others, value them, and add value to them.
šŸ‘‰ Be willing to evolve yourself.

That’s the kind of leadership that builds something that lasts.

What do you think is harder—seeing value in others or being willing to change?

A full-circle moment I’ll Never Forget!

Last year, I officially became a Certified Maxwell Leadership Team Member—as a leadership trainer, speaker, and coach.

But what made it truly special was something that happened six years earlier.

Back then, I had a phone conversation with TRACI MORROW and John C. Maxwell. Yes—that John C. Maxwell. I still remember where I was standing during that call. They invited me to join the Maxwell Leadership Team, and honestly, I was both honored and a little surprised.

I said yes. Something in me just knew—it was the right step.

Fast forward to the Certification event in Orlando, I met Traci Morrow and John Maxwell in person. I walked up to Traci and said, ā€œTraci, you might not remember, but we spoke on the phone six years ago—you and John invited me to this journey.ā€

Her eyes lit up, and we both smiled. We were really glad to see each other. That small moment meant a lot.

Then I asked her if she’d do something personal for me:
ā€œWould you write my name on my certificate—the one signed by John C. Maxwell and Mark Cole?ā€

And she did.

That moment—her handwriting, that signature—it brought everything full circle.
It reminded me how one conversation… one invitation… can change the direction of your life.

If you’re wondering whether your yes matters—it does.
It did for me.
