Breast cancer is the second most common cancer in the world, with nearly 2.4 million women diagnosed in 2024, according to World Health Organization.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, focus on what you can do (and are already doing) to reduce your risk—and don’t forget to discuss your family history with your parents, aunts, and grandparents, which can give you a clearer view of your genetic risk.

And remember: early detection is the best way to improve breast cancer outcomes, so schedule that mammogram screening beginning at age 40. 💗

This mom of two, like many, is out to show her daughters that getting older can be a rewarding experience, full of new challenges and accomplishments—like appearing in a certain fitness magazine. 😉

“I strive on setting new goals, new growth, and learning and experiencing new things in all aspects of my life,” Barb Rideout shares. And exercise has been a guiding factor in her life, from helping her with stress to bringing her back to peak health following pregnancy, and it’s continued to be a force that pushes her to do and be better, in and out of the gym.

If this sounds familiar, check out Barb’s full story in our September/October issue and on our website. 🔥
