Campus Discs

Well whoever does the weather network or any other weather forecasting sucks!!! It was supposed to rain in the am but the rest of the day looked great. Sorry but due to the rain I had to pack up earlier than usual which I apologize for but I can’t get the records wet. However before the rain came, it was a great crowd. It’s awesome being outside but you have to deal with the chance of rain and unfortunately I lost. I will be back at Western on Oct.8 and I promise no packing up early because I will be inside. Next week I am at Brock on Wed and Queen’s on Thursday. More details to follow on Sunday. Many thanks again to everyone that came out for the first two weeks of sales as it’s been a blast.

Just to confirm that I will be at Western on Thursday. Weather forecast looks better each day so hopefully it will be a nice day outside for some digging. Start is at 930 am. First time at a sale and not sure where I will be, feel free to send a DM. Otherwise, Western help spread the word.

“So happy you are back, I keep telling everyone to stop by”. “It’s always fun when Campus Discs comes around”. “Been waiting a long summer waiting for you to come back”. Feeling is mutual as today was a crazy crowd from start to finish. Guelph you outdid yourself and I thank you so much. I am back on campus Sept 28th. Next stop is Western on Thursday. Please be aware that I may change it to Wednesday as i am setting up outside and Thursday looks like rain. I will make the decision tomorrow so please check back on my socials. See you on the 28th Guelph at 9am!

Second week starts tomorrow! On Monday I am at Guelph setting up at the University student centre by the South entrance. Hours are 9am-4pm (or until I pass out).

I am scheduled for Western on Thursday setting up outside on the Concrete Beach at University Community Centre (UCC). Because it’s outside, if it supposed to rain, I might be switching the day to Wednesday or Friday. I will make the decision Tuesday so that gives everyone a day’s notice. I have been outside when it rains on and off and it sucks!!! The hours for Western are 930am-4pm if it’s Wednesday or Thursday this week.

Great first week and let’s keep it rolling. As always, any help in spreading the word is always much appreciated.

It’s finally here and I can’t wait to grab my copy of the new MOB. Tell John that Campus Discs sent you and he may be persuaded to sign a copy for you. After all of these years, John still has the rock star hair( something I know nothing about) to back up his musical talents. MOB! MOB! MOB!

If anyone is heading to the TIFF I suggest you check out my friend Ian’s Criterion store. I have been there as it’s kind of awesome.

If anyone is heading to TIFF, I suggest you go check out my pal Ian’s Criterion store. Looks like kind of awesome…..

A massive selection of DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K physical movies lining every wall has opened in Toronto, curated by Criterion Collection, a film company based in New York. CBC’s Mercedes Gaztambide takes you inside its first retail store in the city.

Another solid turnout today at Laurier. First day of class gets everyone back to campus. So consistent all day long. I am back at Laurier on Oct. 5th. Just reminder that my schedule is pinned to the top so you can see where I will be for the first term. Two sales down and many, many more to go. Guelph I will see on Monday at 9am.

As always i couldn’t sleep before the first sale of the year. Way too excited (or nervous) about another year of doing this. Well I had nothing to worry about. It was a great turnout all day. Tons of new people and so nice to see so many familiar faces. I am back at Mac on October 2nd. Next stop is Laurier on Thursday and I open at 930 am at the Alvin Woods building. Thanks again everyone for an amazing day!

The first Campus Discs sale was September 1996. These were the top songs back then.
