Curated thoughtful displays highlighting local tourist attractions, exploring Mississauga’s identity alongside iconic landmarks like the CN Tower and the beautiful Port Credit.
Preschoolers amazed everyone with their imaginative models inspired by Niagara Falls, the CN Tower, Mississauga Library, and the Port Credit Lighthouse. Using loose parts such as cardboard, recycled materials, old CDs, play-dough, styrofoam, and rollers, they constructed impressive, large-scale structures—showcasing creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.
After a week of dedication and hard work, the children confidently presented their creations. It was heartwarming to see so many families joined, engaged, and celebrated the learning behind each model.
It was a truly joyful and inspiring experience for the entire community! 💫

Using a variety of materials, the children explored different textures and practiced their fine motor skills while bringing their walrus creations to life. The Kinders at Scarborough Day explored the fascinating world of volcanoes this week! After reading a story and learning about how volcanoes are formed, their curiosity carried right into outdoor play.
Using the snow as their building material, the children worked together to shape and build their very own volcano. They carefully packed and formed the snow, creating a crater in the centre and transforming their space into an imaginative volcano world.
With colourful snow “lava rocks” made using food colouring, their volcano became part of a creative, pretend-play adventure filled with storytelling and collaboration.
Through imaginative play in nature, the Kinders brought their learning to life in the most hands-on way. 🌈✨

Love is in the air at Morningside 💛
This Valentine’s Day, the toddlers celebrated in a meaningful way by combining their heart-filled activities with Black History Month. The children are creating a beautiful mosaic-style heart, carefully sticking colourful tissue paper to their artwork while learning about the message behind it.
Their project features an inspiring quote by Martin Luther King Jr.: “I have decided to stick with love.”
Through art, conversation, and creativity, the toddlers are exploring kindness, inclusion, and the power of love in their everyday world. It’s a simple activity with a big message — and so many little hands working together to make something special.
