Sometimes joining a game is about much more than playing.

In Part 2, our GANPers share what brought them out and why they kept coming back.

One rediscovered the racquet sports he enjoyed as a kid. Another found a healthy reason to leave the house, meet new people and rebuild after a difficult life change.

The hardest part is often showing up for the first time.

Hugo’s advice to anyone feeling nervous?

“Come. Nobody bites.” 😂

Once you arrive, the games, conversations and community take care of the rest. Even when someone beats you 11–0 and may need to be blindfolded for the rematch. 😂

The best part of community sport isn’t the score. Even when it’s 11–0. 😂

We asked people at GANP Saturday why they keep showing up. Their answers had less to do with winning and more to do with meeting people, having fun and feeling welcome.

That’s what GANP Saturdays are all about: low-pressure play, real community and a place where you don’t have to be an athlete to belong.

Dinks, Drives, and Abandoned Buildings! 🏓

Looking for an excuse to get off the couch and dominate a makeshift court? The wait is over.

We challenge you to come out, bring your A-game, and meet the finest crew in the neighborhood.

Enjoy the summer while it lasts with great folks, epic rallies, and memories to cherish.

See you tonight at 6 PM!

P.S. Don’t let the post-apocalyptic, abandoned-factory background fool you...we promise we’re friendly. Mostly. 😉

🏆 The World Cup Might End, But The Game Doesn't Stop! 🏆
The real season is just getting started!
Those incredible goals and teamwork we just witnessed? That’s our blueprint. Now, it’s time to take that inspiration off the screen and bring it straight to the playground.
Here is our game plan to keep the momentum going:
Keep Moving: The whistle may have blown on the tournament, but kids still need parks, playgrounds, and spaces to run, explore, and be active! 🏃‍♂️💨
Power Up with Play: Play shouldn't feel like a chore... it’s where the magic happens. The confidence built out here lasts a lifetime. 🌟
Learn on the Move: Check out our Get Active and Play story challenges! We are combining creative writing, basketball, and math into one epic training session. 📚🏀🔢
Don't let the inspiration fizzle out. Let's get outside, emulate our favorite athletes, and remember: it’s not just about soccer: it’s about all the lessons, laughs, and joys in between.
What's one creative way you like to get your kids or students moving outside of regular sports practice?

🛑 Stop benching yourself before you even try! 🛑
"I'm too much of a beginner."
"What if I look silly?"
"I don't have any experience."
Listen up, team: Excuses don't score points. 🏀✨
Even Michael Jordan got cut from his high school varsity team at 15. Did he sit on the couch and wonder "what if"? No. He started somewhere. And so can you!
At Get Active 'N Play, we don't care how old you are, if you've never picked up a paddle, or if your athletic ability is basically non-existent. What matters is that you show up.
🗓️ Your New Training Schedule:
Pickleball Thursdays 🏓:
6-7pm & 7-8pm
📍: 289 Sorauren Ave, Sorauren Park, Toronto, Parkdale
Get Active 'N Play Saturdays 🏓🏐🏀⚽:
12-2pm
289 Sorauren Ave, Sorauren Park, Toronto, Parkdale

No experience needed. No judgment allowed. Just high energy, good vibes, and a place to start your journey.
Blow the whistle on your comfort zone.

There’s a headline floating around in suggesting that starting a fitness routine might drastically change who you are or how you view the world. But let’s be real: picking up a pair of dumbbells doesn’t come with a hidden political agenda. 🏋️‍♀️
The only real "side effect" of getting fit? A massive, well-deserved boost in your confidence! Sometimes we just get so excited about our new healthy habits (and our sleep quality, and our protein intake...) that we want to share that enthusiasm with everyone we meet. And honestly? There is nothing wrong with being proud of your hard work.
Self-improvement isn't about being self-righteous... it’s just about building a happier, healthier you.
So let’s lace up, stay focused, and keep lifting each other up. Class dismissed!
What’s one healthy habit you’ve started recently that you just can't stop talking about? Let me know in the comments! 👇
