After work, I stopped by Whole Foods (a grocery store chain) and saw all these pumpkins on display at the store front.

It’s definitely pumpkin season! Look at the size of these things!

Pumpkin patches, pumpkin pie, pumpkin spiced lattes (PSL), pumpkin bread, pumpkin flavoured everything, and much more!

How many seasons does your country have? Do you guys experience fall where you are?

“What’s the scoop?”
The scoop is that… you’re amazing!

But in all seriousness…the scoop is that people use this expression quite often over here! In fact, I heard this expression used this morning (from my manager) before she was about to assign a task to me 😆

I believe it’s also common in journalism as well right before they share the latest news.

Try it sometime!

📢 “Let me know…” is probably one of the most used sayings when chatting with people. Especially when you’re asking for information or you want someone to get in touch with you about xyz.

Did I miss any?! Let me know! 😆

What’s the idiom?? Type your answer in the comments! The answer to the last picture was: two peas in a pod. Do you know this one? 🧐

Love the Toronto sign💖🇨🇦

Also! Here’s some English practice for you: look at the following sentences below. Are they correct or incorrect?

1- He lives in the downtown.
2- Are there any Italian restaurants near the downtown?
3- I’m gonna take a day trip to the downtown today.

Leave your answers in the comments! Are these sentences correct?

Canada has two official languages 🇨🇦

English and French ~ Anglais et Français!
Bonjour! Hello! Ça va bien? How are you! 😆 J’espère que vous êtes bien! I hope you’re doing well 🙏💖

The breakdown of the language use is not exactly 50/50; but in Ontario, children start learning French in the classroom at grade 3!

French is primarily spoken in Quebec, but there are communities of French speakers across Canada. Our nation’s capital, Ottawa, is also a French/English city, and a majority of federal level positions require you to be bilingual.

What is the official language of your country? Or do you have more than one? Leave a comment ⬇️

No plans for the weekend?! Visit the museum! There is always an exhibition going on and it’s fun for all ages.

Mini lesson- FUN or FUNNY (read): This week my students kept using “funny” to mean “fun”. They are quite similar in context but there is a difference!

Any fun activities or fun places to visit? Please share by typing a comment! 🙌🏼💖⬇️

The last post asked about your favourite food! I mentioned that breakfast food is superior- especially brunch!

Brunch culture is a big thing in North America. Here’s a pretty large portion size for a breakfast combo at a diner.

How do you like your eggs? I prefer mine over easy. Let me know your thoughts!

Practice questions:
➡️ How do you like your eggs prepared?
Or ➡️ what do people typically eat for breakfast in your country?

📍Waterfront Recreational Trail
For runners, cyclists, and people on rollerblades 😁

Have you ever ridden a bike downtown? I personally wouldn’t because I’m scared 🤣

For your own safety…make sure you don’t block the path when you’re down here. If you need to cross, make sure the way is clear 🚴‍♀️🚴🚴‍♂️
