OSTA’s Catholic student trustees took part in Friends and Advocates of Catholic Eduction (FACE) Lobby Day at the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, meeting with MPPs, OCSTA representatives, and Bishops from across the province. Yesterday, student trustees from across Ontario, including representatives from OCDSB, TDSB, and TCDSB joined OSTA-AECO president, Carter Peios in a virtual press conference to share their perspectives on Bill 33.

Students highlighted how legislation directly impacts their learning environments and emphasized the importance of equitable opportunities and safe schools for all. OSTA-AECO remains committed to amplifying student voices and ensuring their experiences guide decisions that shape education.

We urge legislators to carefully consider student input as they review Bill 33.
