Dancers are athletes. πŸ’ͺ✨

Misty Copeland proves it every time she steps on stage – a trailblazing ballerina, the first Black female principal dancer at and a powerhouse athlete whose strength, balance, and grit belong in every highlight reel.

Here’s to every girl who trains at the barre, the court, the rink, the pool, or the field and calls it what it is: sport. πŸ©°πŸ…
Which female athletes are your students talking about right now?

From Canadian kid to Marvel’s first Asian superhero. πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦πŸ¦Έβ€β™‚οΈ
Simu Liu shows our students that someone who looks like them can save the day, too – by sharing his story, speaking up about representation, and opening doors for others.

He’s one of the role models featured in Character Powers – The Sequel, a set of short, levelled biography cards for Grades 1–3 and 4–8. πŸ“šβœ¨

Next up is an inspirational figure who is impactful and helpful!

MrBeast has a spot in Character Powers: The Sequel. My students are already obsessed with his videos, so I turned that interest into reading, reflection, and SEL. These biography cards help kids see how big ideas, kindness, and creativity can actually help others in the real world. Each card ends with a PowerTalk question so students can ask themselves, β€œHow could I make a difference?”

Perfect for Grades 1–3 and 4–8, at school or at home. Link in bio.
