MODES OF PUBLIC TRANSPORT FOR STUDENTS

BUS
1. Viva
2. York Regional Transport (YRT)
3. Go Transport

Viva (Purple, Orange, Pink and Blue) and YRT are for YORK

ViVA - The bus have viva written on it and color codes. Presto card tapping at the machine in the stop. No tapping in the bus.
Once tapped, valid for 2 hrs. U can change any bus withing 2 hrs.

YRT - Have bus nos. Eg - 1, 54, 41 etc.
Presto card is tapping on bus just once.

Go Bus - It's a premium bus service. There are very few stops in between and stops only at a go bus station.
U need to tap the presto card upon entry and while exit.

GTA pass - Only valid in that region. Approx 250 CAD per month

TTC
Subway and Buses
U can use presto card.

Tapping for subway is at the station

For buses, it is on board.

P.S - Kindly check ur routes from ur accomodation the college and then decide which monthly pass to take .
Viva, YRT and Go buses have individual monthly passes.

MONTHY PASSES ARE VALID FROM 1ST TO 31ST OF EVERY MONTH.

YOU CANNOT TAKE A MONTHLY PASS IN BETWEEN

WHERE TO GET A PASS
1. Shopper's Drug Mart.
2. At any major bus station.
3. Can do it online and renew it every month - auto debit option.
