In honour of World Mental Health day , I’d like to speak about being vulnerable with your own self.

What does this vulnerability look like? To be able to identify your emotions and feelings is part of that journey. Sit with yourself today and ask yourself when was the last time I checked up on my emotional well-being?

In this busy world we live in we tend to neglect our emotions and feelings. Especially for individuals in demographics or cultural upbringings that don’t support this.

The safest you’ll ever be is when you can be real with yourself and just feel. Cry it out, write it out, feel it out. To be numb and ignore your emotional health is akin to eating without tasting.

As in, you might be eating the food but you aren’t enjoying the flavours. Your emotions are the flavour of life. It allows you to know how you are doing and how you want to feel on this plane of existence ( earth).

So the next time you feel sad, angry, upset … sit with these emotions and feel. Watch them and learn how to regulate them.

Therapy and coaching can help you with this and there are many resources on how to do CBT therapy.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy essentially allows you to categorize your feelings from your thoughts and actions.

Hope this information helps and you enjoyed the content.

Happy World Mental Health Day all! Global healing and wellbeing is the theme this year 💜

They say that gratitude Is the first step to transformational healing.

I hope you are able to keep the gratitude locked in 🔐 today and allow it to flow through you.

You’ve been hard on yourself lately as we all are from time to time. This is your reminder that self compassion is a game changer.

How does an individual have self compassion?

-Lead with with yourself
-Be and
-Suffering, failure and inadequacies don’t define you
-Don’t overly yourself

I pray this finds you in good spirits and lifts you up today 💕

As someone who has severe GAD- i sympathize with everyone in this group who can’t handle the news atm.

How do I deal with panic attacks that derive from news outlet posting headlines that are anxiety inducing?

1. I discuss what’s happening in the world with people who are affected and humanize the situation
2. I try my best to not look at the news and unplug from news outlets
3. Social media is a no go during this time because every other post will be about something that is triggering
4. Grounding - prayer, mediation, reading books
5. Taking a walk , meeting loved ones and listening to some podcasts / music that supports my health
6. Staying away from friends and family that love politcating and talking about these issues
7. Getting into volunteering and helping those in need on the ground

Lastly, when you are ready to be informed about what’s happening give yourself self compassion, take it one day at a time and do it at your own pace

May we all heal during this time and keep everyone in our prayers 😇. Amen 🙏🏿
