This quote from Napoleon Hill just SLAPPED me in the face this morning:
āThe world has a habit of making room for the person whose words and actions show they know where they are going.ā
And I was like⦠āWho do I know around me that KNOWS where they are going?
And then I was like⦠āDo I know where I am going?!?!??ā
This is a great question.
Thinking more about it, I do.
I do know where I am going.
I have a goal.
My goal has a few parts, and one is to buy my dream house and make room for my future family.
Part is to take REALLY memorable vacations with my mom, my dad, and my partner without having to do it within a ābudgetā.
Part of it is to get my DREAM car (although I love my current carā¦itās a few steps below the one I really want).
How will I get those things?
Money. And lots more of it.
And I know the EXACT amount of money Iāll need to get the first one on the list (the house!) is my first goal.
So Iām going after that exact amount.
And from what Mr. Hill is saying, the world will make room for me IF my WORDS and ACTIONS show I know my goal.
So today, I am talking about it.
And also taking some big (scary) actions that will put me closer to my goal.
Do I know exactly how it will go? No. But I will still take action!
And that action-taking, along with lining up my words to those actions, is becoming a habit for me.
And that is where the magic is!
My tip for you?
1) Get clear on your goal. Donāt be afraid to make it big! Write it down. And be REALLY honest about making it about what you really want. Not just what you think you can get. But what you WANT.
2) Write. It. Down. And talk about it to yourself. Picture it. Visualize it - as if it's already yours.
3) Act on it. TODAY. Take action TODAY. Make that call. Sign up for that workshop. Put down that deposit. You know that big scary thing you have been putting off? Do it. Act. Today!
Mixing your goal with ACTION and making a habit of it has so much power to change your situationā¦. And like Mr. Hill said, āThe world has a habit of making room for the person whose words and actions show they know where they are going.ā
