Better Jobs Ontario (BJO) is a provincial training support program that helps eligible individuals get skills training for better job opportunities.

✅ Who may qualify?
Applicants are generally expected to be:

✔ Ontario residents
✔ Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents
✔ Unemployed, laid off, or underemployed
✔ In need of skills training to improve employment prospects

People who may qualify can include:
• laid-off workers
• low-income individuals facing barriers to employment
• people with limited part-time work only
• some individuals in unstable or transitional work situations

✅ How much funding may be available?
• Up to $28,000 for programs within 52 weeks
• Up to $35,000 for programs over 52 weeks and up to 2 years

✅ What support may be covered?
Support may include tuition, books, transportation, basic living expenses, and other approved training-related costs.
