Why am I putting it out there? Because if people can come out and say you should not help a man, people also have to come out and say there are men you should help. Because wicked people cannot be controlling the narrative! Amen.
Listen, I believe that if you are in a relationship—if God should bless you to meet your spouse in a formation season—oh, please don't take it for granted. God wants to give your marriage something called fortitude. Yeah. There is something called comradeship.
Now, let me explain. Have you ever wondered why people divorce? But if you have a friend that you went to school together, you people suffered together, trekked together—you know it's harder to separate from them. You might not even talk to them every time, but anytime you talk to them, you pick it up right from there.
That is comradeship. Philia is stronger than eros. And a lot of people don't have friendship in their marriage.
I'm saying this because if you internalize what I'm saying, you will understand that no matter the storm that is coming—whether job-related or otherwise—I picked this person, they picked me, and we are together. Whether we lose a job or we have a job.
You see, if you do God's things without God's mind, it can't work. There is a way God designed marriage: two people coming together to become one.
