🌋 Volcanoes and Goopy Lava🌋

After overhearing lots of talk and ideas about lava in the morning play, we decided to create some of our own!

After enjoying the bubbly eruptions, the boys discovered the goop that was created and called this the lava.

Simple materials = lots of thinking and experimenting!

✨Clay!✨

For over an hour and a half clay was squeezed, chopped, moulded and manipulated in various ways. No pottery wheel this time. Just hands, clay tools and a little water.

It was also a time to sit and talk with friends while exploring the materials😊

🌱Nature tacos (mini and adult size), nature sushi, nature pasta and a leaf/wood chip/pine cone soup were all on the menu today at our playground restaurant!🌱

Another example of how the world offers so many natural possibilities for play for children. No fancy toys needed! Just time, space, friends and imagination!

✨More potions!✨

The interest in potion making resurfaced so we offered it in a new way!

✨We’ve had numerous inquiries about what we use to create this magical effect. Keep swiping to see a photo of the metallic water colour paints that we use. The colour doesn’t dissolve or mix in completely so each stir or movement reactivates the magical swirls✨

We tend to not buy much paint from the dollar stores but this one we would recommend. Grab the watercolour paper also at Dollarama and combine the two for a shiny painting experience.
