☀️ An outdoor adventure!☀️

The beautiful weather this week allowed for this fun adventure including running free, making wishes on dandelions, using our binoculars to take a closer look and having fun at the playground.

One highlight was meeting the neighbourhood recycling men who were super excited to show us what they do and how the truck worked! They even honked the horn and stopped to talk to us 😊

We also met our friends from outside their school watering their gardens. They were excited to show us what they had planted, what was growing and how they were taking care of them. They even invited us to help with the watering!

Another wonderful adventure in the books!

👻 Ghosts took over the studio this morning!👻

The fabrics that once covered the house turned these two creative thinkers into spooky ghosts haunting the studio.

No instructions. No expectations. Just open-ended materials mixed with joy and imagination 💙

🍕Pizza Making!🍕

We have been talking about doing some cooking of our own for some time now and today was the day!

Pizza was on the menu and a small group of shoppers set off with Josh to Bruno’s to buy the ingredients. Then we got to see some amazing young pizza chefs at work!

Thank you to Isabel from for donating our little oven which was just perfect for this cooking experience!

We learned about oven safety and allowing hot foods to cool before diving into our yummy homemade pizza lunches!

We wonder what we will whip up next with these chefs😊

🎢 The rollercoaster interest and inquiry continues! 🎢

Yesterday our new magnetic blocks were connected and moved around the room by hand as young imaginations saw them as rollercoasters on scary exciting journeys. Today we offered materials to create the rollercoaster tracks and enable things to be propelled along them like a rollercoaster does.

We wonder where this inquiry based learning will take us next as we continue to follow the children’s lead?!?

☀️What a great day to be outside!☀️

We had our first outdoor lunch together today in the perfectly shady space right outside our front door. Our friend A brought bubbles for everyone to have some fun with too. And of course we had our trusty sidewalk chalk for creating.

There may be a hopscotch of circles that stretches all the way to Shoppers Drug Mart😃

Spending almost two hours out there gave us the chance to meet new friends too! Some young and some older. Some furry and with 4 legs 🐶

🎢 Rollercoaster fun from this week in PlaySchool! 🎢

Interest in water slides turned to talk of rollercoasters so we created this fun experience for the kiddos to give them the feeling of travelling along different rollercoasters without having to leave the ground😃

Lots of interest in speed and turns and hills and going upside down! Also in scariness and being brave. Let’s see if this continues after the long weekend!
