Good evening Shakespeare Club,
Our exciting monologue contest info is now available!
Submit a video of your Shakespearean monologue performance on March 1st by 11:59 PM.
The submission will be judged by The Executive Board of the Shakespeare Club. (❗️ UofT Shakespeare Club Executive reserves the right to disqualify any entry for being disrespectful and/or breaking University of Toronto community guidelines in any way. ❗️)
While your video will NOT be judged based on quality of recording please ensure clear audio/video.
‼️You will be judged on:
-Understanding of Text
-Character
-Language/Meaning
-Expression
-Vocal
-Physical
-Ownership
-Categories will be judged out of 5 points
‼️Rules:
-Time limit: around 1-2 minutes (we will stop watching at 3 minutes)
-Pick any monologue within reason*
-Must be from one of Shakespeare’s plays
-Videos may be horizontal or vertical
-With submission, must include:
-Your name
-Name of the play
-Act and scene of your monologue
-Character
-Do you give permission to have the UofT Shakespeare Club include your video in a compilation if you win?
-(Optional) Why you chose your monolgue - will not count towards or against your score!

-1st place: $30
-2nd place: $20
-3rd place: $10
