What are you most afraid of?
Such a hard question to address with truth and vulnerability.
I think we are all afraid of something terrible happening to our loved ones. But which fear stops you from moving forward towards your dreams and desires?
For me I am most afraid of not being enough.
Not successful enough, not ambitious enough, not vulnerable enough. This is something that I work hard at overcoming and I am getting better at it. β€οΈβπ©Ή
π Fear will keep us stuck at the crossroads of having the life we want and deserve.
π Something very important to remember βmost things that we are afraid of are not real.β π€

Growing up Kellyβ¦
What my childhood taught me.
I was a child of the 60βs.
My father a 19 year old firefighter and my mother a 17 year old receptionist.
I was the reason for them uniting as one πΆπ»π
Letβs just say the happy couple decided to call it quits when I was about 11 years old. πβ
Was it the fighting & yelling or was it because my mother was having an affair with another woman?
It was a rarity for parents to get a divorce back then, never mind have a mother who was gay. We left my dad the week my grandfather died, walked to the bus stop and went to my grandmothers.
My grandmother was my β€οΈ
She taught me unconditional love, not to judge others and the importance of family. Most of all she made me feel important and safe.
The standing joke was my mother would never spring clean; she would just move.
Move we did, the 3 of us. My mother, her girlfriend and me. My mother never bothered to explain anything to me about our living situation nor was I given a voice.
My mom and I loved πeach other but I never felt comfortable in my own home.
We probably lived in 10 different places, 10 different schools, all before grade 10 and I hated it all. My home, new schools, and making new friends.
It wasnβt long before I figured s**t out. I became a chameleon.
My childhood did not give me a sense of stability, comfort or belonging.
π It taught me how to blend in and adapt.
π It forced me to push through feeling afraid.
π It showed me that being an observer gives you insight & intuition about people.
πMy childhood taught me how to blend in and sit on the sidelines.
ππ My adulthood taught me to how to stand out get in the game!!!

Keep your eye on the ball.
π If we have a vision and a purpose it is important for us to stay true to ourselves & limit the distractions.
To stay grounded in our goals we need to implement actions that keep us centered, mindful & motivated.
Here is what I do to keep my eye on the ball.
π Remove distractions:
When working on new leadership strategies or exploring transitional actions for my clients, I turn off my phone, music, tv and move to a quiet space.
Not having any interruptions allows me to stay in the flow of discovering & exploration.
π Write down your Vison & Purpose
I create both a short term and long term list of my goals.
Each day I look at the list to ensure that I am on track.
By looking at this daily, I am able to make quick adjustments if Iβm moving off my intended direction.
π Exercise
Wether Iβm working out at the gym, going for a walk or playing a sport, excercise keeps my body and mind in sync. That connection gives me energy & clarity to stay connected to my purpose.
π Stimulate your brain
Learn, read and
explore everything you can about your vision or craft. Research industry leaders and why they are sucessful. Study their road to success for motivation and learn about their pitfalls to gain different perspectives.
π Surround yourself with like minded people
Take inventory of the people you have around you and see if they are motivated & passsionate about their lives.
If they are not adding to your life in a healthy, postive way limit how much time you spend with them.
π Meditate
For many of us itβs hard to quiet our mind but here is where we discover our creativity. Take 10 minutes a day to get silent and observe what is revealed to you.
πPlay
Take the time to have fun & bring out that inner playfulness. For me it can be a simple as putting on music to light me up or quality time with friends that make me laugh.

π Embrace the future with positivity not survival or a back up plan.
One of my biggest challenges to overcome is that I used to approach opportunities from a place of survival and nine times out of ten, I would have a back up plan.
From a young age I never felt that anyone helped me to explore lifeβs possibilities. When I had an idea or was given an opportunity, I approached it with a mindset of a worst case scenario. It was never with the feeling of excitement or curiosity.
I approached opportunity thinking of the worst case scenario. If everything failed I needed a back up plan. I was in survival mode. It was in that survival mindset that I could feel safe and in control.
I often wondered what could have been possible if I lived from a different mindset.
What if Iβ¦..
π Enjoyed the moment of exploring opportunities with excitement.
π Viewed challenges as amazing opportunities.
π What would have been possible for my life with that mindset?!
Over time, I have learned that while it is wise to have a back up plan it is not how we should approach the opportunities in our life.
If we want to be successful and have a fulfilled life, it is important to
π embrace the future with excitement and positivity.
π We cannot create abundance or success from a place of survival or having a back up plan.

3 Things to get clear on as we approach the final 90 days of 2021.
1- Look Back
It is important for us to reflect on what we have accomplished and celebrate the wins π₯³
2- Where am I now?
Take a look around at whatβs working and whatβs not working. What are the tailwinds and what are the headwinds. Get grounded in you purpose.
3- The Future
DREAM. As we head into the home stretch start to dream about all of the possibilities life has to offer.

How do you stay focused on your goals?
Letβs face it, staying focused on our goals isnβt easy, especially when we are in transition and havenβt realized the benefits yet.
Some may say:
π Discipline keeps them focused and some may say a
π Strong Desire keeps them focused.
Some may say
π Visualizing the End Game is essential and some say it is more about the
πJourney Than the Destination.
For me,it is about being
π Grounded in the habits that keep me balanced. When I am grounded, I am focused and when I am focused I am aligned with my objective.
When I am alined with my objective I embody the feeling of already achieving my goals.
If Iβm not grounded in my values and self-care, everything goes to s**t!
My goals seem unattainable, my mind is not at peace, I donβt sleep, which takes a toll on my body and then all I feel is chaos.
If I start to feel a bit discouraged, a bit of βwhy botherβ or even a bit of βthis s**t is too hardβ I know itβs because I am not looking after myself and doing the things that keep me grounded.
I check in with my inner Cher and she immidiatley tells me to:
βsnap out of it!β and thatβs my cue to get back to what I know works for me.
We all need to remember what keeps us grounded in order to focused on our goals. For me the reminder is the proverbial slap in the face from the one and only Cher!
Here are my self-care habits that keep me focused on my goals.
π Meditation - It may not be everyday but that is a goal I am trying to achieve
π Exercise - I go to the gym to work on keeping my body strong
π Walking - I listen to podcast that feed my mind and soul while I walk ( kills 2 birds with 1 stone)
π Wake up early - To have more productivity in my business and personal life
π Fun - Time with friends to laugh, share and let loose
πLearning - Spend time reading and learning things that improve both my business and my well being.

Choice; the act of making a decision when faced with two or more possibilities.
Having a choice is one of the most powerful things we can do. Making a choice can be as simple as deciding what restaurant to have dinner at,
or as complicated as deciding to stay or leave an unhealthy relashionship.
We can make a choice that can benefit someone else or we can make a choice to benefit ourselves.

For me the word Longing evokes a whimsical feeling.
π It allows me to dream and imagine possibilities.
π Possibilities that link me to my core values and a life of fulfillment.
It doesnβt mean that we need to have all the answers today or even tomorrow.
Getting clear on βWhat we are Longing Forβ brings us closer to realizing our goals for the future.
π Donβt let the saboteurs stop you from exploring your goals. In other words, those negative voices in your head that tell you all the reasons why you canβt have what you want!
π Go ahead and dreamβ¦..imagine what your life would be like it you had βit.β
That thing that makes you feel a sense of excitement, accomplishment, pride or love.
