What an excellent competition and I’m thankful for the opportunity to share it with some talented teammates. I performed well in the Masters Age Group +40, 170lbs Division with 4 wins and 2 by submission. I got caught in a tight Punch Choke in the Finals and lost by submission. I have some work to do and will get it done. Thank you and my bro as well as my Teammates! Thank you for all your love, encouragement and support.

I competed at the IBJJF Masters World Championships this past weekend. I won a few matches but lost my third match 0-0 decision in the Quarterfinals which ended my tournament. It was a disappointing result but an excellent event and a great experience. Thanks to my teammates that competed alongside me and all our club team members.

Last weekend I competed in the Masters US National Championship in Vegas. I was in great company with some amazing athletes and captured the Gold at 78kg. I had my very good friend and old teammate Owen Dawkins with me which made it even more memorable.

On April 8th we celebrated 24 years of marriage! When I asked Lisa to be my wife I knew that we would be starting a life long journey together and that if we remained together we would never get lost. This journey is a beautiful story of our love, friendship and family! We are blessed to have this love, each other and time together to experience more unforgettable memories. It’s been a busy week! My youngest had her 16th Birthday, my oldest had her 23rd Birthday and my middle daughter graduated from high school. What a blessing!
