I don’t know why we abandon ourselves as we grow up. Not everyone always I guess. But I did. I looked at what others were doing. I judged my family life and thought doing better meant following an approved pathway.
The problem is it never felt right for me. I always felt a little bit like I was outside looking in. I made great friends, and worked in some pretty great jobs. Met my partner, had kids but still felt kinda bored and unsatisfied.
Maybe that was because I hadn’t figured out what I really wanted to do. But I think a big part was forgetting what was important and exciting to me without outside opinion or noise getting in the way of thinking that was good enough. So Ayesha had the advantage of getting to know ourselves again in our forties and helping others do the same. What would happen if you remembered who you were and leaned into that again?✨
Starting up our podcast again and will link our next episode here. Would love suggestions of any topics you’d like us to cover
