We wanted to write this while it’s still fresh in our hearts.

First of all — thank you. To everyone who’s been with Arting Around Studio from the beginning, and to those who just recently found us, you’re the reason this space exists at all.

We don’t usually talk about this part out loud, but it matters.

Summer looks beautiful from the outside — patios, parks, trips, festivals — and we genuinely love that for everyone. But for many small businesses, summer can also be one of the hardest seasons. Slower bookings, quieter weeks, and rising costs don’t pause just because the weather is good.

Around us, we see incredible local places that have been part of this city for years quietly closing their doors. Not because they weren’t loved. Not because they weren’t meaningful. But because the reality out there is just… really tough right now.

So this isn’t a complaint. It’s honesty.

We’re still here. And we want to stay here. We want to keep building a space where people can slow down, create with their hands, and feel a little more like themselves again.

But that only happens with community.

Every booking, every visit, every time you choose a local experience — it genuinely makes a difference. Not in a symbolic way. In a real, practical, keep-the-doors-open kind of way.

And it’s not just us. It’s every small studio, every independent shop, every local business trying to hold its place in a city that’s changing fast.

So we want to start something simple here.

A one-time, limited edition summer experience | Only ONE session | Once a year, for just a fleeting moment in June, the peonies open.

We invite you to meet them at their peak.

At the breathtaking Windecker Woods Flower Farm in Cayuga, ON (about 1.5-2 hour from Toronto), we’re hosting something quietly magical: an outdoor painting experience surrounded by blooming peonies, warm sunlight, and slow, intentional moments.

– A guided painting session nestled right inside the peony fields
– All art supplies provided — just bring yourself
– A handpicked, medium-sized bouquet to take home
– Time to wander the flower fields, hidden corners, and storybook barns
– A slow, curated picnic-style setup to rest, reflect, and simply be

Well… what a way to wrap up tulip season this year 🌷💛

This weekend we hosted our final Tulip Paint & Pick event of the season — and honestly, this May has been WILD. The weather has been unpredictable, cold, stormy, stressful at times… but somehow, together, we still made beautiful memories happen.

Yesterday especially was one for the books.
Right as we arrived at the farm, a huge storm rolled in — heavy rain, lightning, strong winds… definitely not the peaceful tulip painting setup we imagined 😅

But this post is a BIG thank you post. Because moments like this remind us how incredible local community truly is.

Huge, huge thank you to who welcomed our entire group into their beautiful restaurant literally last minute and made the impossible possible. The way your team treated us, hosted us, created such a warm, cozy and safe atmosphere for everyone — it genuinely meant the world to us. You truly saved the day for our community and helped turn a stressful moment into a beautiful memory. 💛

Our guests painted, laughed, enjoyed drinks, stayed warm and dry… and then somehow — the storm passed. 🌤️
And YES — everyone still got to go pick their tulips afterward. 🌷

Another huge thank you to for having us this season. We know this weather was not easy on anyone, and we appreciate all the care, flexibility and work that goes into making a season like this happen.

This year we hosted TWO sold out Tulip Paint & Pick events, and despite all the unpredictable May chaos… we’re just so happy we found a way to make unforgettable memories happen together.

Thank you to everyone who came, supported local, painted with us, picked tulips with us, adapted with us and brought such positive energy every single time. 🌷✨

This weekend, we celebrated Mother’s Day in such a special way at Arting Around — with our Tulip Pick & Paint experience, and honestly, it was one of the most beautiful spring weekends we could’ve imagined.

From walking through the tulip fields and hand-picking fresh blooms, to turning those moments into stunning paintings on canvas, the entire experience felt so peaceful, creative, and full of joy 🌷🎨

Thank you to every single person who joined us — this event was completely sold out, and seeing so many people creating memories together meant the world to us.

And guess what? We have ONE final Tulip Pick & Paint date happening this upcoming weekend — May 16th — before tulip season officially comes to an end 🌷
