Eyes Child Care Canada

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
Today, we pause to honour the Survivors of residential schools, remember the children who never returned home, and recognize the lasting impacts on First Nations, Inuit and Métis families and communities.

As residents of Mississauga, we have a responsibility to listen, learn, and reflect on the history of the land and the Indigenous peoples who have cared for it for generations.

Reconciliation is not only about remembering the past, it is about listening to Indigenous voices, learning the truth, and taking meaningful steps toward a more respectful and inclusive future.

Today and every day, we remember:
Every Child Matters. 🧡

Another EYES Child Care Centre Opening in Mississauga!
We are proud to open another EYES Childcare in Mississauga, helping support families and strengthen our community with 100+ subsidized child care spaces.

This milestone would not be possible without strong collaboration and investment. We sincerely appreciate the partnership and support of the Region of Peel, the Ontario Ministry of Education, and the Government of Canada for helping make affordable, accessible child care a reality for more families.

Together, we are creating more opportunities for children to learn, grow, and thrive, and supporting parents and caregivers as they work, study, and build their futures.

More spaces. More opportunities. A stronger community.

Naila’s journey in Canada began in 1998 when she arrived as a new immigrant with her family, determined to build a meaningful future through education and service. She started by tutoring local students and, in 1999, opened a small home daycare. What began as a personal passion for teaching and supporting children has grown into 𝐄𝐘𝐄𝐒 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞, an organization that today operates 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝟑𝟎 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐎𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨 and supports families in communities throughout the province.

She has contributed to non-profit organizations, advisory groups, the Chamber of Commerce, and community leadership initiatives. Her belief is simple and strong: successful organizations must also contribute meaningfully to the communities around them.

Naila’s leadership style is practical, collaborative, and deeply people-focused. Having built an organization from a single home daycare into a large multi-location provider, she understands the real challenges faced by students, educators, families, operators, and community partners. She brings both entrepreneurial insight and front-line experience to every conversation.

At Peel College, we are committed to preparing career-ready graduates and building stronger pathways into meaningful work. With Naila on our 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝-,https://share.google/EWJvdHUUcEAhdXuFH we gain invaluable guidance on program development, industry trends, workforce needs, and community partnerships that will directly benefit our students.
