The two most exciting days in an academic year are orientation and convocation! This week we celebrated the success of our graduates who persevered and completed their studies successfully. We also honoured a true leader in the hospitality world, Mr. Edwin Frizzell, VP, Central Canada and Puerto Rico for and GM at the with the honours bachelor business administration - hospitality from . Edwin was also the keynote speaker and shared invaluable advice to our graduates that are about to embark with their own career. Thank you for inspiring us!

The annual competition at the Congress Centre is always exciting! Observing students pour their heart into months of training to culminate into one day of fierce competition. The product on display is stellar which is surely matched by the described taste profiles. Thanks to the coaches who mentor the competitors and are feverishly watching on the sidelines. May the best candidate win and move forward to the Nationals in Regina!

April is filled with capstone events where students show off what they learned. The Festival Caliente was a collaboration of the Chef School and the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management which was a sold out event and splendidly executed. Congratulations to the faculty and students who planned this all semester long!

The 80th show kicked it off with a culinary icon who shared his amazing journey with our enthusiastic students. This year’s show is the largest I have seen with a vast array of companies. Well done and Team. We will back there tomorrow afternoon with the education panel at 4 pm to share our story.
