The Canadian Dominican Ray of Hope Who are We? As members of this organization, we are each committed to donating our time, resources and services to this cause.

The Canadian Dominican Ray of Hope is a registered Canadian charity founded to provide aid for physically and mentally disabled orphaned children of the Dominican Republic. Our organization was formed by a group of like-minded individuals with the intention of creating a charity whose purpose is to provide a helping hand to those in dire need. Through genuine acts of charity and love, we form a co

mmunity that breaks down continental barriers to help those that truly need it. This commitment allows our organization to operate proudly with no administrative costs, enabling 100% of the proceeds to go toward our goal of improving the children's lives. At this time, we are partnered with The Diocese of Puerto Plata that has two homes currently caring for 38 children that were abandoned by their parents who were unable to adequately care for them. The homes have been established to provide the children with food, shelter, medical care, education and love. The children suffer from various physical and mental disabilities ranging from, but not limited to, cerebral palsy, meningitis, severe developmental delays, hearing impairment, visual impairment, polio, Down syndrome and autism. Our Mission
It is our organization's profound belief that ALL children have the God-given right to a quality life, love and well-being regardless of their country of birth. It is this belief that has inspired us to carry out our mission of providing assistance to those in dire need. Our Projects
The pressing needs that we are committed to addressing on an ongoing basis are: the serious day to day problems created by the lack of water and electricity and the urgent need for providing proper nourishment, diet, food supplies and medical care. Our long term vision is to build a larger and more suitable home for the children that would accommodate their special needs and disabilities. This would include an area for physical therapy and rehabilitation equipment as well as divided living spaces for the children by age and gender. With your support, our dreams of a proper home can become a reality.

This year we will celebrate the *NEWLY BUILT ORPHANAGE*
which received our first children today. It will be home for over 40 children.

It will be a great evening with food, music, and special announcements!

Please join us for the 15th Annual Ray of Hope Charity Gala
This year will be a very special event as we are presenting the NEWLY BUILT ORPHANGE which will open this October and begin housing 58 orphaned children with disabilities in the Dominican Republic.
The date for the Gala is November 23rd, 2024.
It will be a great evening with food, music, and special announcements!

Very excited to announce our 13th Annual Gala will be held on November 5th at Fontana Gardens. We are finally able to safely proceed with our in-person and are thrilled to see all of our supporters. ⁣

At the Gala, we will be raising awareness and collecting funds to help aid the orphaned children with physical and mental disabilities of the Dominican Republic. ⁣
