Summer brought a little slower pace around here. ๐ŸŒฟ

And honestly? Sometimes a little space is exactly what we need.

But now

Fall workshops are officially underway, and September is already

If youโ€™re new here, Aware NL provides trauma awareness education for workplaces, organizations, and communitiesโ€”helping people better understand how trauma can affect the way we think, communicate, work, connect, and respond.

โ€˜Trauma-informedโ€™ is not the same as ๐™ฉ๐™ง๐™–๐™ช๐™ข๐™–-๐™–๐™ฌ๐™–๐™ง๐™š. My workshops are designed to move beyond simply

Theyโ€™re about creating greater awareness, compassion, emotional safety, and resilience in the spaces where people live and work.

Because becoming trauma-aware isnโ€™t about diagnosing people.

Itโ€™s about understanding people.

And sometimes, one shift in perspective can change the way we respond to someone who is struggling.

Send me a DM with the word ๐–๐Ž๐‘๐Š๐’๐‡๐Ž๐ and Iโ€™ll send you the information you need to get started.

September has very limited availability, with additional fall dates now booking.

Not every workplace leaves visible scars.

Sometimes the impact shows up as burnout, hypervigilance, self-doubt, or a nervous system that never feels safe enough to rest.

Trauma awareness creates psychological safety, and that isnโ€™t just a workplace โ€œperkโ€โ€”itโ€™s the foundation for healthy people, healthy teams, and sustainable performance.

If this resonated with you, save it for later and share it with someone whoโ€™s helping shape workplace culture.

๐Ÿ’œ Because awareness changes workplaces.

๐Ÿšฉ Unpopular opinion:

People donโ€™t magically stop being human when they clock in.

You canโ€™t demand resilience while ignoring stress.
You canโ€™t expect engagement without safety.
And you canโ€™t build healthy workplaces on fear.

What gives YOU the biggest workplace ick? ๐Ÿ‘‡

๐Ÿ’œ Follow for trauma-informed conversations that challenge the status quo.

Sunday morning. Peace. Moments of contemplation & clarity. Soul serenity.

Rest. Remember. Return to self.

Sometimes the best thing you can do after prolonged periods of strength and resilience in the face of turmoil, is to just BE.

Find the simple things that bring you comfort and peace.

This morning, for me, that looks like:

Inspiration through pretty oracle cards with comforting messages

Journalling thoughts, lessons learned, and gratitude for what already is

Mindful moments without any particular schedule or rush to get things done.

In rest and pause there is awareness and inner peace.

๐Ÿ””New โ€˜Soulful Sunday Seriesโ€™. ๐Ÿ™

Every Sunday I will share a card with you if
you feel called to receive a message. Each week I will pull from a different deck. (I have lots of them..one of the things I love to collect ๐Ÿฅฐ)

This weeks card pull is from โ€˜the Language of Letting Goโ€™ deck by Melody Beattie.

Drop a โค๏ธ on the comments if you would like a card message via DM
(This series is brought to you by .w.a.r.e.nl | | )

because itโ€™s too good to keep for sharing from just one account ๐Ÿ˜Š

๐Ÿšจ Emotional and psychological abuse often leaves invisible wounds.

Because there may be no physical evidence, survivors are frequently misunderstood, dismissed, or told to โ€œjust move on.โ€

As a trauma awareness organization, our focus is not on diagnosing individuals. Our focus is on understanding the impact that emotionally harmful behaviours can have on the brain, body, nervous system, and overall well-being.

Many survivors describe experiences such as chronic self-doubt, anxiety, hypervigilance, difficulty trusting themselves, and feeling disconnected from who they once were.

When we understand trauma, we become better equipped to support healing.

On Narcissistic Abuse Awareness Day, letโ€™s shift the conversation from judgment to understanding, and from blame to compassion.

๐Ÿ’™ What is one thing you wish more people understood about emotional and psychological abuse?
