Today is the National Day of Remembrance & Action on Violence Against Women. This is the 34th anniversary of the Montreal Massacre and commemorates a shocking act of gender based violence. 14 women were killed that day, simply because they were women. Today we share their names in the hopes that there will never again be a list like this:

Today we pause to remember and pledge to act with and for women & girls for whom violence is a daily occurance and to consider what actions we can take to end that violence forever.
