Today is the National Day of Remembrance & Action on Violence Against Women. This is the 34th anniversary of the Montreal Massacre and commemorates a shocking act of gender based violence. 14 women were killed that day, simply because they were women. Today we share their names in the hopes that there will never again be a list like this:
Genevieve Bergeron (1968) Civil Engineering student
Helene Colgan (1966) Mechanical Engineering student
Nathalie Groteau (1966) Mechanical Engineering student
Barbara Daigneault (1967) Mechanical Engineering student
Anne-Marie Edward (1968) Chemical Engineering student
