CONSIGNMENT — LYNX
Lynx | 5–6 Y/O | Grade Quarter Horse Paint Gelding | ~15 HH
Taber, AB
💰3,500 OBO — will increase with training
Looking for a patient, confident rider to bring along a handsome young gelding with plenty of potential!
Lynx is a bay paint Grade Quarter Horse gelding, approximately 15 HH and 5–6 years old. He is green broke and has had trail miles, but is still very much a project who needs continued riding, consistency, and miles.
He is a sweet, curious, people-oriented gelding who enjoys attention and genuinely wants to please. He can be very loving and personable and does best with someone who is willing to take their time, build his confidence, and use a calm, gentle approach.
Training & Handling
• Green broke with trail experience
• Loads, leads and ties
• Can become impatient when tied alone — currently being worked on
• Picks up all four feet
• Nervous about bathing, but can be bathed with patience
• Will receive a trim before leaving
⚠️ Important to Know
Lynx is not a finished or beginner-safe horse. He can have big reactions when he gets scared and has crow-hopped in the past, including getting a rider off. From what we have seen, these behaviours are associated with being spooked rather than being an ongoing attitude problem.
He will need an experienced rider or a very confident, patient handler who understands young/green horses and is comfortable continuing his education.
His current owner is no longer in a position to comfortably handle Lynx’s quirks or commit the time and financial investment needed to take him to the next level, so he is being offered to a home that can give him that opportunity.
Training Will Continue
Lynx’s education will continue while he is available for sale. He will be receiving additional riding, handling, and exposure to help build his confidence and continue developing his skills.
As his training and experience progress, his asking price will increase accordingly. The current 💰3,500 OBO reflects his current level of training and is subject to change as his education progresses.
