🍇🫓First Holy Communion Celebration 🙏✨

We are excited to celebrate a very special milestone in our parish community 🎉.

This Friday, May 8 at 6:00pm, 116 children from OLGC School and our PREP program will be receiving their First Holy Communion 🙏✝️.

🥰 We are so proud of each one of you as you take this important step in your faith journey. May this beautiful day fill your hearts with joy, peace, and a deeper love for Jesus ✨.

We would also like to thank 👩🏻‍🏫👩🏽‍🏫our dedicated school teachers and catechists who have lovingly prepared and guided these students every step of the way 💙🕯️.

Please keep all of our First Communicants in your prayers as they receive this sacred sacrament 💫.

We write with deep sorrow following the incident in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia on February 10, 2026. We recognize the grief and concern felt by staff, students, and families across our province.

Let us pray for the souls of those who lost their lives, for healing for the injured, and for consolation for their families and friends. Schools are requested to lower flags to half-mast for the next seven days.

What a beautiful celebration at OLGC 🙌💙 We joyfully wrapped up the 10-day Novena and Feast of St. John Bosco, patron saint of the Salesians who minister at our parish 🎉✨ Join us in reliving these special moments by watching our short reel that captures the 9 evenings of novena and our Feast Day on January 31 🎬⛪

Our Novena Masses were held each evening, beginning with the Rosary and concluding with the novena prayers 🙏🌹. In the mornings, OLGC School students attended Mass and took part in the novena, filling our church with youthful faith and joy 👧👦📚.

We are deeply grateful to all the parish groups who made these celebrations so meaningful 🤍 . Thank you to the Legion of Mary, Society of Saint Vincent DePaul, OLGC Youth, ADMA, Salesian Sisters, OLGC PREP, OLGC School, Salesian Cooperators, El Shaddai, the Salesian Family, and Fred Pablo with the Music Ministry 🎶👏. A special acknowledgment to the Society of Saint Vincent DePaul, led by Mary Vu, for organizing the celebration following the Feast Day Mass 🍽️🎊.

Our heartfelt thanks as well to our parish priests who led the Masses and guided us through the life, spirit, and Salesian way of Don Bosco ⛪📖 May his example continue to inspire us all 💙✨
