Panorama Ridge Global Initiative

Over the past week members of our organization have been running a Bricks for Hope Challenge in Panorama Ridge Secondary, where each class has been collecting coin donations to help buy building supplies to build a house in Guatemala for a poor family. We would like to thank all the students and teachers for eagerly participating in this event and would like to congratulate all the students who have helped raise $1000 in the past week. And a special thank you to Canex Building Supplies for matching all of these donations dollar for dollar.

Over the past weekend the PR Global Initiative has raised $1000 through a bottle drive and in school Pizza Sales. These funds will be used for the upcoming service trip to Guatemala, where PRGI members will be building a home for a poor family.

The PRGI is very grateful to our platinum sponsor, Canex Building Supplies Ltd., who will be matching all of our raised funds dollar for dollar. Also we would like to thank all of our dedicated volunteers who helped us make these events a success!

The PR Global Initiative will be having a pizza sale tomorrow and Friday in the multipurpose. We are selling pizza and cupcakes for $2 each and will be accepting any monetary donations. All funds will be going towards building a home for a poor family in Guatemala!

Attention to all Volunteers: We will be having a community flyer handout this Sunday to advertise our upcoming bottle drive. We will be meeting at Panorama Ridge Secondary at 10:00 a.m.

The PRGI would like to congratulate all the grads who got their diplomas at their commencement earlier this week. We would also like to thank all parents and students who supported us by buying roses and chocolates! We were successful in raising over $300 that will go towards our fund to build a home in Guatemala.

Recently the PR Global Initiative Club has selected 7 candidates from Panorama Ridge to take a Service Trip to Guatemala where they will be building a home for an impoverished family. To fund for this trip the club has been hosting a weekly concession at PR and bottle drives!

PR will be hosting Aids Awareness Day on Dec. 1st and there will be a Red Wristband Campaign happening that day!

Wristbands are being sold by donation at lunch in the cafeteria and all proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross!
