There's lots happening behind the scenes as we get ready for another year of learning, growing and connecting at RVS. We can't wait to see you!

That is a wrap on the 2025-2026 school year! We want to wish all of our students and families a wonderful summer vacation filled with relaxation and of course some adventures!

Last week our Grade 2s headed to Telus Spark. While there, the students got to explore the exhibits and do a light session where they got to experiment with black light and lazors to review the light energy science unit.

This artwork definitely shows some students are excited that summer is almost here!

A big shout out goes to Tim Horton’s for their generous donation of donuts for our staff today!
They also asked us to let you know that there will be a donut decorating party for kids at 1pm on Friday, June 26th.

May was a busy track and field month for our grade 7 and 8 students. We hosted our school track meet along with the divisional meet. Some of our athletes successfully made it to the zone meet that was hosted in Calgary. Fantastic efforts to all!

One of our grade 2 classes has been learning about the growing cycle using tower gardens and recently had the chance to eat what they had grown for lunch!

This year, our school was honored to host an Indigenous cultural residency, immersing students in meaningful land-based learning. From the hands-on experience of preparing a deer hide to exploring the traditional plant medicine of Snake Hill, our community has truly deepened its connection to the land. This journey will culminate in a beautiful collaborative art project designed by our Indigenous partner and created by students and staff. Once complete, this masterpiece will be displayed in our school as a lasting tribute to our shared learning and growth!

We hope you can join us next Thursday for our spring concert where our grade 4 and 5 music classes will be performing along with our grade 6, 7 and 8 bands.
