Hi all! I thought I would introduce myself here. I’m Amanda Claro and I run Avie Bug Home Daycare from my home here in Strathroy, Ontario.

Having cared for children of all ages for over 15 years now, my goal is to ensure that my daycare feels like a home-away-from-home for every child and that parents feel at ease leaving their littles ones in my care.

A little about me - my husband and I moved to Strathroy in 2020 and made our home our renovation project. Once settled, we changed our lives in the best way possible by having our daughter. In our free time, we love doing DIY projects, going for walks, working out, visiting new coffee shops, and spending time with family.

After having our daughter, I could not find it in my heart to return to my office position. Having been around my family's home daycare all my life, I knew this route was the perfect path to take for myself, my family, and for the littles that have came into my care since. My Strathroy home daycare officially opened in May of 2023 and has flourished.

As kiddos transition from daycare to school, I will post available spots here and in the town's childcare page ☺️

A nurturing environment for children under 5 years old offering both full-time and part-time care, ensuring your little ones receive nutritious snacks and lunches throughout the day.

My themed lesson plans are designed to align with kindergarten readiness, making learning fun and engaging. Kiddos participate both in indoor activities and outdoor play in a spacious, fenced yard, complete with a jungle gym, swings, climber, sandbox, and toys.

Stay connected with your child's day through app updates, giving you peace of mind while they explore and learn. From photos, meals eaten, nap times, and notes - you’re kept informed.

My space is also smoke-free and pet-friendly.
