I love this dance: “When Will I Be Loved” choreo by Gary O' Reilly
I used a fun female vocal version by Ashley McBryde, Pillbox Patti, Brandy Clarke, and Caylee Hammack. If you try it, start dance after the intro. the 1st easy tag still happens at the end of wall 2 (6:00) but the second easy tag will be at the end of wall 5 (9:00.)

Revisiting some ballet vocabulary after a very long hiatus!
One thing I’ve always found fascinating about dance is that every style has its own language. Ballet even has its own vocabulary in French!
Learning to dance isn’t just about memorizing steps. You’re learning a language, too. The more you understand the vocabulary and actually use it, the more it becomes ingrained.
And then something really cool happens: you can hear or read the steps and dance without even seeing it! You start to recognize patterns that can help you remember the order of the steps too.
It’s the same with line dancing. Learn the steps, learn the vocabulary, and keep using it.
Before you know it, you’re speaking my language!

The best part about line dancing? Joining in with old & new friends on the floor! 🙌 It’s impossible not to meet people when you’re out there. This community keeps me going.
I used to teach my friend Lazar, now he teaches me…and joins in on tik toks 😆🎶

When I was in Indiana this summer for the World Dance Showdown, I loved that there was never an open floor session without “Dizzy” being played! It’s a classic that is still so fun to dance to. Choreo by Jo Thompson Szymanski . I loved teaching this one at The Ranch 2.0 recently while guest teaching for Amie! Thanks for having me!

Ever learn a line dance… and then forget everything the next week?
Join me for “Step In Time Tuesdays with Tara” — a space to practice, mingle, and dance just for fun from 12:00PM - 2:00PM on select dates.
This is NOT a class. Think of it as a guided practice session. Songs will be played, you can work on the dances you’re learning, and I’ll be there to help you remember how it starts or get unstuck when you need it! Open to all line dancers, you do not need to be in my classes to participate.
Taking a late lunch? Leaving work a little early? I got you! No cameras during practice sessions.
