🍄There is a cat in the home. He is older, calm and well tempered.

🍄 Nut and Fish free home.

🍄 Daily Schedule includes outdoor exploration, time to create, read, cook and more to support development.

🍄 Large fenced yard, gated decks and walking access to local playgrounds and parks.

🍄$250 a week. Receipts provided for year end Taxes.

I had so many things I wanted to post about in my reflections this week.

Yet something happened today that truly brought it all full circle.

I have been asking the Universe for a sign for a few things on my mind. I believe I have received it today.

I finally could hear well enough to leave the house. We went to karate and stopped at the grocery store on the way home. I make a list. I go through each department. I rarely back track. Yet today I did. As I turned the corner, I must have froze. I know I was likely awkward in the exchange and excitement. I did not realize in that moment how important it was for me. Or for my child.

Ms T. Was there. Getting her groceries. One of the lovely ladies who cared for my youngest. Ms.T Ms.B Ms.M. three ladies who truly went above and beyond for my little guy.
I will never be able to thank them enough for what they did for him or my family.

Not minutes later, I received a message from one of the Little's Mother,who I cared for. An unexpected visit and gracious gift for the Dayhome.

Both events today, were a reminder of how strong we are to say hello and goodbye.

When we are graced with the opportunity to see them, after they have left our care, It does not matter if it's a year or seven years. It does not matter if they remember us or not.

We remember them.

Each Little face and hands that we have guided and watched grow. Little glimmers of faces and memories, reminders of the Littles we have cared for before the current ones.

It's an honour to be an ECE. An honour to be trusted with every child we get to help on their journey. Even if it's only a short little while.

I am a big supporter of our Local Community. Scouts has been an amazing and beneficial program for my own child.

I was so pleased about the first year of Chipmunks. More excited that we have enrollment available for the Second year!

1st Goulds remains the only Chipmunks group in Newfoundland. We hope to see this program grow and develop and be available to all Scouts groups.

Is there anything better than a small child who is entirely fascinated by insects and nature?

From the very first days I knew this Little would always be a "nature" kid. Each child has their own personality. Which I greatly love seeing it develop as they grow.

Looking for ladybugs, snails, spiders, worms and butterflies keeps us busy.

When the berries are ready to pick, I know Summer is coming to an end. Looking forward to Autumn.

I am grateful to have fresh local vegetables and fruit on our menu this week!

Grateful to have spent time with my family. The farm is a happy place for me. This weekend we took time away from the house to have the fresh air.

Meet and Greets take place outside of Program hours to ensure I give each family my attention, while providing privacy for my enrolled families.

The rhythm and routines are changing. Just like the Seasons. The last few weeks fo Summer break for school aged children. The last few weeks before my oldest starts College.

I'll say farewell at the same time as saying hello to knew Littles. Tears and laughter at the same time.

One space remains to be filled ( and temporary availability for the month of August. )

If you have followed my page or read back, you know there are a few times of the year that are very emotional for me. This holds true for many.

Especially for children.

The transition to School, to holidays, end of School and seasons can be overwhelming.It can be exciting. Even scary.

August into September I have always seen turn over. It's the nature of Early Childhood Education. When children are aging out of Daycares and joining Kindergarten the preschool and toddler rooms open up. You see far less of a turn over for the infant rooms due to the high demand for the limited child to ECE ratio.

August becomes a month of saying Goodbyes and Hellos.

In the coming weeks I will say goodbye to Littles who I have observed and guided over the few months to over the last year, while at the same time finding the Rhythm of an entirely new group.

This a month that requires a steady and happy pace to help all of the big feelings for the young and the old.

So here is to August, to the whimsy and magic that we find in fairy tales!

Between the humidity and our little Bird Family, outside time has looked a little different the last few weeks. Still I value being outside!

The birds are soon going to leave the nest and I can't be any more excited for watching this whole process.

It was in the last quiet moments for the day.
Toys reset. Floors swept. Snack prepped.Waiting for little eyes to open. Little feet to scamper from the hall. Waves of emotions flooding over me.

"Change is inevitable " by Mama Nous has been stuck in my head for weeks now.

Admittedly it's one of her songs more directed at adults. I am glad for it. Because we have big emotions as well. We go through the stages and waves.

I may hold a brave face when I have to stand in front of change. When I try to give words of reassurance and comfort.

Inside I can feel exactly how it feels to be facing changes even when not ready for them.

Change is inevitable.
