What do you thrift?
Shopping secondhand is fun—a modern-day treasure hunt filled with possibilities. It is also an impactful, sustainable action anyone can do to help conserve resources and reduce waste. Before buying something new, it's worth taking an extra moment to consider whether or not the item you need can be purchased from a thrift store.
Hahahaha!

🤯 Now might not be the best time to consider this, but research indicates children are generally better off with fewer toys.
🤷🏼♀️ Looking for something to do with kiddos over the holidays? Let's tidy toys! Gather everything together and hang with your kids as they choose what to keep and let go of the rest with grace and gratitude. 🙏🏼
♻️ Donate useable items.
🧐 Then, to organize, find a home for each toy, grouping similar items together and making things easy to access and easy to put away.

💖 Wishing you a well-organized holiday season and a tidy 2023. -Cath

For the second year in a row, our family of four is doing "stockings only" at Christmas. We are heading to the Maritimes to visit family, and will only be buying stocking stuffers for one another. My kids, both busy studying at university are relieved they do not have to worry about purchasing and transporting / delivering proper gifts for everyone. They both LOVE buying gifts for others, but are strapped for cash and depleted cognitively. This way it's also less work for me to fill the stockings, and more fun for everyone when we open things up! And did I mention the savings? With both kids away at school, we are all so happy to simply be together. The greatest gift is 'presence'. Not presents.
