Award-winning vocalist and musician Vonda McDermott is a versatile artist known for her soulful blend of country, rock, folk, and bluegrass. Her powerful vocal control and emotive performances captivate audiences.

Born and raised in Grande Prairie, Vonda found her passion early, growing up playing guitar and singing in the family band. Her seasoned stage presence and instrumental proficiency have earned her recognition as a respected musician in the industry. As an active member of the Night Ryder Band, she has been shaping the Peace Country music scene for decades, delivering meaningful experiences that inspire and unite audiences.

Vonda's recent accomplishments include placing second in Grande Prairie's SoundCheck Competition in 2023, winning the Grande Prairie Stompede Country Music Contest in 2024, and releasing her debut country single, Let It Go, produced by Duane Steele. The single went on to reach #4 on the Canadian Independent Country Music Charts in March 2025, making her one of the region's most exciting artists to watch.

Building More Resilient Athletes 💪

J4 Performance's dryland training helps athletes build the physical foundation necessary for peak performance when it matters most.

With extensive experience working with athletes across different sports, ages, and levels of competition, our approach combines sport-specific considerations with individualized coaching. Every program and every training session is designed around the athlete's needs, training age, sport, position, and goals. 🎯

For example, ice hockey goalies attending a 4-day camp during their off-season require specific, carefully prescribed dryland sessions. As the strength & conditioning professional, our job is not to make them tired, but to improve their movement and aid in their overall recovery as the week progresses. ⚖️

Our approach to dryland training is unique for any sport, utilizing specific equipment that addresses the needs of the athletes we work with. We fully embrace the DVRT (Dynamic Variable Resistance Training) system, which teaches athletes to move with intention and great attention to detail.

Over the years, I've had the opportunity to work with 20 different sports programs and more than 500 athletes, giving me a broad understanding of the physical demands and unique needs of different sports and athletes. Whether preparing for the upcoming season, developing in the off-season, or working toward a higher level of competition, the goal remains the same:

Build stronger, more resilient athletes who are prepared to perform for years to come. 💪

Updated Simulator Lounge business hours for August! 🌞

The lounge will now be open regularly on Saturdays & Sundays from 2pm to 10pm, and open for bookings Monday-Friday.

If you're looking to book during the week, please call (780) 864 9822 with at least 24h notice so we can arrange staff and prepare the facility for you 👋

Our discounted summer rate of $35/hour still applies through the month of August, so you can take full advantage of it, rain or shine!

We're also still accepting private bookings for birthdays, team building, baby showers, anniversaries, or any other special event, at our discounted rate of $90 / hour.
