Making Stone Soup together 🤗
The children helped chop vegetables, measure ingredients, stir the pot, and pour broth.
Cooking with young children can be a little messy, but that is part of the learning.
Everyone contributed something to our soup, just like in the story 🥣

This week, we explored the ins and outs of various sizes of pumpkins! 🎃
🎃 Through this exploration, the children gained new vocabulary as they noticed differences in size, weight, and the sticky, slimy texture of the seeds inside.
🎃 They strengthened their fine motor skills as they designed and decorated their own pumpkins on paper, coloured the outsides of the pumpkins with markers, and counted and sorted seeds.
🎃 They extended their learning through dramatic play by recreating their pumpkin discoveries with mini figures, skeletons, and seasonal props that encouraged imagination and storytelling.
