Shellbrook Elementary Public School

We are cleaning out our lost & found and have all the clothes out for the students to go through. If there is anything that looks familiar, please feel free to drop by the school and have a look! We are going to leave them out till the end of next week and then donate whatever isn’t claimed.

Congratulations to our May Family Math Challenge Winners! We gave out a “Shut the Box” game to our category winners! We had over 230 correct math problems submitted over the Family Math Challenge! Great Job everyone!

What an incredible track and field season!

We are so proud of all of our athletes who represented our school at the P4A Track Meet. Whether students earned a ribbon, achieved a personal best, or simply gave their best effort, they should all be proud of their accomplishments.

Mrs. Pederson, Mrs. Ledding, Miss Kennedy, Mrs. Poirier, and Mr. Gareau were incredibly impressed with how well our students behaved throughout the entire event. They were respectful, responsible, encouraging, and represented our school with pride. The students were excellent role models for all athletes, and their positive attitudes did not go unnoticed.

Thank you to all of our parents for your support. Your communication made organizing athletes, transportation, and pickups much easier. We also loved seeing so many family members come out to cheer on the students. Your encouragement helped make the experience even more memorable for the kids.

We have some young authors to celebrate! We entered a bunch of student work into the Polar Expressions Publishing National Poetry & Short Story contests, where the top entrants (25-45%) of entries are published in a soft cover book! Ashton S. placed 3rd in her grade level for poetry! We also had Harlyn G., Hudson J., Kohen K., Olivia T., Ella S., and Andie S. have their poems included. In the short story category, Jovie C., Tessi C., and Ella S. had their stories included!Congratulations everyone!

We had four students who placed in the top 2 for their age category for the local Canadian Royal Purple Society Brainlove poster contest. These artists work will move on to the provincial level. Royal Purple aims to raise awareness about brain injury and prevention. Congratulations to our winners!

It's hard to believe June is just around the corner and we are near the end of the school year! We have quite a few things going on in June!

One of our substitute staff and Shellbrook Elementary parents was given a pretty cool honour the other day here at the school. Congratulations to Bailey Johnson who was awarded the 2025-2026 SHA Coach of the Year! It is very well deserved!!

Congratulations to our students who finished 1st or 2nd in their event/age category at our track meet last week! These athletes advanced to the P4A track meet that is happening next week in Prince Albert! Our students will compete against students from all over the school division!

We had “all our ducks in a row” yesterday during the rain! The pre-k’s were enjoying the weather by going on a ‘duck’ walk!

Thanks to everyone who came out to our SCC bingo evening! We loved seeing members of our school community come together for an evening filled with fun, laughter, and excitement! Big congratulations to all the bingo winners!
