What does student support look like in Saskatchewan public schools right now? πŸ“£

πŸ‘‰ Swipe through to see the student-to-staff ratios for social workers, psychologists, speech language pathologists and counsellors in Saskatchewan schools during the 2025-26 school year.

Teachers are seeing more students struggling with anxiety, trauma, dysregulation and other complex challenges. But the specialized supports students need are stretched thin.

When mental health professionals and specialized staff aren't available, those gaps don't disappear. They show up in classrooms every day.

Words matter. Actions matter more. 🧑

At the STF, Truth and Reconciliation is more than a commitment. It's an ongoing journey of learning, listening and taking meaningful action.

Whether through Treaty education, supporting Indigenous leadership or building stronger relationships with Indigenous partners, the STF is working to put reconciliation into practice in ways that create lasting change.

This work reflects a shared belief that reconciliation is something we do together.

Every child deserves the chance to become a confident reader. πŸ“š

Strong literacy skills open doors to future learning, achievement and well-being. That's why Saskatchewan teachers are strengthening their knowledge of evidence-based literacy instruction through Empowering Educators: Evidence-Based Foundations for Literacy.

By deepening their understanding of how children learn to read, teachers are better equipped to identify challenges early, respond to student needs and help more young learners build the skills they need to succeed.

When teachers have the right tools, students have a stronger foundation for lifelong learning.

πŸ‘‰ Swipe through to see the latest stats on violence and aggression in public schools.

A new national survey found that 88% of Canadians are concerned violence in public schools is increasing. The findings also show strong public support for action and investment to ensure schools are safe and supportive places for students and teachers.

Teachers want what families want: classrooms where students can learn, thrive and feel safe.
