Today marks 46 years since the tragic Queen’s Hotel fire in downtown Saskatoon on May 31, 1980.

On that day, Local 80 members Victor and Dennis made the ultimate sacrifice while serving and protecting their community. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten.

As we remember their lives and honour their legacy, we also recognize the profound impact they continue to have on the firefighting community and the citizens they served.

We will never forget 🕊️

Saskatoon firefighters are on scene of a two alarm fire in the neighbourhood of Hampton Village

The wind driven fire affected at least 4 residences and required over 30 personnel to get the blaze under control

All residents are accounted for, and no injuries are reported

We ask the public to kindly avoid the area at this time
