Purpose and Objective of the Research:
The overall purpose of this study is to determine whether or not, and how, escape room experiences affect team-building skills. The study will examine (a) which claimed or intended escape room benefits participants actually perceive as being affected by the escape room experience, (b) to what degree each of the benefits are affected, and (c) how the design of the escape room has an impact on the claimed or intended benefits. It is anticipated that the results of this study will provide clarity with respect to the real or perceived ability of escape rooms to have an impact on team-building and other claimed or intended benefits of participation, and whether or not investing in escape rooms as a form of team-building or professional development is of value to organizations.
