Discovery Camp UNBSJ

This week, we had the incredible opportunity to host one of our UNB Discovery Camps in collaboration with Port Saint John

Campers spent the week exploring robotics, coding, Minecraft, and engineering design, all while overlooking the busy harbour. They also enjoyed a behind-the-scenes visit to Area 506 and an unforgettable bus tour through DP World Saint John, where they experienced port operations up close and got to practice loading a container ship using a high-tech crane simulator!

A huge thank you to Port Saint John for such an inspiring week on the waterfront!

HIGH SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Discovery Camp runs on campus at UNB Saint John from June 22nd-August 14th, and we are looking for motivated Grade 11 and 12 students to help support our UNB Student Instructors. Camps cover a multitude of educational topics for campers in Grade 4-9. Commit to 2 weeks of volunteering - supporting and helping with activities and games, connecting with students, learning more about UNB, and making an impact on your community!

March Break Camps were a blast!

Our STEAM campers put their creativity and problem solving to the test with Marble Olympics. In teams, students designed, built, and tested their own marble events while completing planning workbooks and incorporating technology and uniquely created 3D Printed elements into their designs. The week wrapped up with an exciting marble showdown on the final afternoon. Congratulations to all campers for their incredible ideas and teamwork - check out the awesome photos and videos of their creations.

Our Creative Scene writers wrapped up their week by stepping into the world of movie making, ending with a premiere to showcase their films. We saw impressive stop motion, comedy sketches, and even commercials. Great work, everyone!

Registration is now open for our NEW 3-day Discovery March Break Camps for middle school students at UNB Saint John! Students can choose between a Creative Scene Writing Workshop or a hands-on STEAM Workshop. Camps run 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., March 3–5, and include daily snacks (lunch not included).
