The children had a great time choosing colours, getting creative, and showing off their unique styles. A playful activity full of self-expression, creativity, and lots of smiles! 💛

The older kids at SIGIS Sturgeon Heights had a blast playing The Price is Right! 🎉

Through this fun game, the children practiced guessing, comparing, making choices, and using their thinking skills, all while enjoying some friendly excitement with their friends. 💛

Learning can be fun, playful, and full of smiles!

Our SIGIS Royal Harvey children had a beautiful hands-on learning experience exploring the butterfly life cycle! 🐛🦋

The children observed the caterpillars through each stage of their transformation, watching with curiosity as they grew and eventually became butterflies. To complete the experience, they took the butterflies outside and released them into nature.

A wonderful reminder of growth, patience, and the beauty of learning through real-life experiences. 💛

Our SIGIS Muriel Martin children are taking part in a Global Postcard Exchange Project! 🌎💌

The children hand-painted artwork representing Alberta, and now their first three postcards are ready to travel to Germany, Australia, and the USA. As postcards arrive from around the world, the children will flag each location on a world map and watch their collection grow over time.

A beautiful way to explore art, geography, culture, and connection beyond the classroom. 💛

A little library adventure for our SIGIS Outreach kiddos! 📚✨

We visited the St. Albert Library for a day filled with stories, smiles, curiosity, and imagination. Experiences like these help children build a love for learning while exploring the world around them in meaningful ways. 💛

Learning the Art of Podcasting 🎙️
The older kids at SIGIS SH are exploring the ins and outs of podcasting, from what happens in front of the camera to everything that takes place behind the scenes.
Through this hands-on experience, they are learning about communication, creativity, teamwork, planning, and the many roles that help bring a production to life. It’s a fun way to build confidence while discovering how ideas can be shared through media. 💛

Exploring the Canadian Badlands at SIGIS Muriel Martin 🏜️

The children at SIGIS Muriel Martin learned about the unique landscape of the Canadian Badlands and how the Hoodoos were created.

To extend their learning, they completed a 3-step art project called “The Hoodoos,” combining creativity, geography, and hands-on exploration in a fun and meaningful way. 💛

Exploring Art Through Imagination 🎨

Last week at SIGIS Sister Alphonse, the children brought their creativity and imagination to life through art!
They explored and experimented with a variety of materials, including leaves, string, balloons, toothbrushes, sponges, and rollers, using different surfaces to create their masterpieces. Each new medium became an exciting challenge, encouraging the children to think creatively, try new techniques, and express themselves in unique ways.

The children were so excited to explore each activity, and even prouder of what they were able to create. 💛
