Nothing like a 5-star Google review to put a little extra pep in your step! 🙌

“Jamie’s instruction was concise and engaging (and disarmingly funny!). There were practical components to ensure everyone understood the proper CPR techniques and wrappings for various wounds and injuries.

It is a lot of information to cover, but there was ample repetition and encouragement to shout out answers to ensure each student was clear on each topic.

I highly recommend taking your courses and re-certs through Fast Beats. They know what you need to know to be effective in emergency situations.”

We love keeping First Aid training informative, practical and engaging - with a few laughs along the way.

Because serious skills don’t have to mean a boring classroom.

This one definitely made our night! 🙌

Infant AED Pad Placement

Proper pad placement matters! When using an AED on an infant, if the pads should not touch or overlap on the chest, place one pad on the centre of the chest and the other on the centre of the back, between the shoulder blades.

Always follow the diagrams on the AED pads and the prompts provided by the AED.

Small patient. Proper placement. Lifesaving skills.

We need your help!

Fast Beats CPR and First Aid Ltd. is incredibly proud to partner with When the Beat Gets Busy as we work together toward bringing a public access SaveStation AED to our community.

When The Beat Gets Busy began after a family who had been taking our courses for years experienced a cardiac emergency involving their daughter. Their story inspired us to create an annual complimentary CPR and AED awareness workshop, When The Beat Gets Busy, with one goal: to teach as many people in our community as possible how to perform CPR and use an AED, helping make St. Albert a safer place.

Our first complimentary workshop reached full capacity, and the response from our community showed just how much this message matters.

But When The Beat Gets Busy decided they wanted to take it even further.

That is how this community initiative began.

Together, we are now working toward bringing a public access SaveStation AED to St. Albert; because when a cardiac emergency happens, every second matters. Knowing CPR is critical, but having quick access to an AED can make all the difference in saving a life.

Every donation. Every bottle. Every share. Every person who helps spread the word. It all brings us one step closer.

What started with one family’s story has grown into something that could help save a life in our community.

Inspired by one story. United by every heart.

Donations can be made through the SaveStation crowdfunding campaign.

Our instructors don’t just teach First Aid ; they bring real-world experience into the classroom.

With paramedic backgrounds, our team brings practical knowledge, hands-on demonstrations and real experiences that go beyond what’s written in a textbook.

We believe the person teaching your course matters. We focus on creating an engaging, comfortable learning environment where students can ask questions, practise their skills and leave feeling confident in their ability to respond in an emergency.

Real experience. Practical training. Instructors who know what it’s like when those skills are needed most.

10 years in business. 💙

What started as a small idea grew into more than we ever could have imagined.

This photo feels pretty fitting for the last 10 years. Jamie has always had the “floor,” teaching and doing what he does best, while Annette has been behind the scenes managing everything that keeps Fast Beats CPR and First Aid Ltd. moving forward. Different roles, but from day one, we have built this business together.

And we really did start small. Just the two of us, with Jamie teaching one- and two-day courses with sometimes only one student in the room. But we never gave up on our dream or what we knew we could build together.

Ten years later, we continue to put in the late nights, long days and countless hours travelling throughout Alberta. The hard work hasn’t stopped, but neither has the growth.

Today, our team includes four incredible instructors and amazing behind-the-scenes support. Our services have also grown to include Event First Aid Services and medical, first aid and safety equipment sales, while we continue providing training throughout Alberta.

Through every stage, we couldn’t have asked for a better business partnership. We know each other’s strengths, trust each other completely and, after 10 years, still genuinely love building this business together as a powerhouse team.

To every student who has walked through our doors, every business and organization that has trusted us with their teams, our incredible instructors, and all of the friends, family and community members who continue to support us—thank you. You have all played a part in getting us here.

We are incredibly proud of how far we have come and even more excited about where we are going.

10 years down, and we’re nowhere near finished. 💙

Happy 10 years to Fast Beats CPR and First Aid Ltd.! 🥂

One of the perks of running a business; the office can look a little different some days. 👙

The summer rush at Wilderness Village Resort has quieted down, but the work at Fast Beats never stops! Taking advantage of the sunshine while answering emails, scheduling courses and keeping things moving behind the scenes.

Enjoy the moments when you can. 🤍
