Mother’s Day was extra special this year 🤍 I had the indescribable joy of becoming a mama to our baby boy.
Olivia is so curious about her little brother, and we are so in love with him. He is the tiny puzzle piece that perfectly completes our family of four.
Welcome, To the world little one. 🫶🏼

38 weeks and slowing down 🤍
As baby boy and I prepare for the big day, I’m officially shifting into a lower gear for a short while.
Although I won’t be taking a “maternity leave” in the traditional sense, I’m moving into a slower season around here.
✨When it feels good to do so, I’ll still be showing up and talking about everything that lights my heart on fire and continuing to offer my thoughts on how you can communicate with more confidence in your business.
👩🏻🍼You’ll also see more behind the scenes of this slower season and how we’re adjusting to becoming a family a four.
In some ways, I don’t want to be slowing down because I’m just getting fired up about how I can support and serve you on your journey to greater speaking confidence.
At the same time, I feel SO grateful and SO excited to be more present with my family, and myself for this short but sweet time.
This is the great balancing act of motherhood and entrepreneurship – wanting to freeze time to be with my babies, while simultaneously feeling passionate and committed to my work. And on the challenging days I remind myself that this was always the goal: To wake up every day in love with what i do, while not sacrificing time and presence with my little ones.
I fully accept that no two season will ever look the same. Some times the grind is prioritized, while other times rest and presence are prioritized. But the love I have both allows me to show up no matter what, and always with a grateful heart 💗🤍
So here’s to slowing down for a short while, I can’t wait for all this season brings.

The Doors are Officially Open! 📣🎉
My new digital course Speaking for Success is open for enrollment!
This is your framework to kickstart your speaking confidence so you can ditch your communication anxiety, and boost your impact in your work/business.
If you’re reading this, I want you to take a moment to ask yourself 2 questions:
1. Do I regularly feel self conscious speaking up in front of others because I get nervous, I have a hard time articulating myself clearly, and I don’t know how to present myself confidently?
2. Am I READY to start speaking with more confidence and authority in my work/business?
If you can answer YES to these two questions, then this course was MADE for you.
I can already tell you are DONE
- doubting yourself
- letting your nerves run the show
- feeling and believing that you don’t know what to say or how to say it
- Allowing your success to take a back seat
You are ready to take control of your communication, and in this course I’m giving you the tools to do EXACTLY that.

Your Voice is Powerful.
Your ideas are brilliant.
You are worthy of speaking up and sharing your knowledge, your experience, your opinions, and your story.
Defining your needs and expectations in the workplace does not make you aggressive, bitchy, or too direct. It is essential to your success and your well being.
And still, so many women stay quiet and keep their hand down out of fear:
Fear of sounding stupid
Fear of not knowing what to say
Fear of what others might think.
Fear of not being enough. period.
A part of this comes from our experience in the work place: the underrepresentation of women in leadership, the micro aggressions experienced at work, and the tendency to be silenced by others. (DYK: research shows that women are 10% more likely to be interrupted than men in the workplace)
Another part of this comes from our own, self-imposed limitations, and learning to give ourselves permission to speak up, first & foremost.
So yes, as Melinda says, “A woman with a voice is by definition a strong woman. But the search to find that voice can be remarkably difficult.”
I feel incredibly grateful to work every day to support professional woman as they search for and strengthen their own voices.
I am proud of my clients for leaning into their fears and building the trust in themselves
I am proud of the incredible woman in my life who support and empower the women around them, and
I’m proud of the men who continue to advocate for women and invite us to sit at the table and to be a part of the conversation.
And if you are still in search of your own voice, know that I am proud of you too. Keep searching, keep leaning into your fears and insecurities, and keep moving towards speaking your truth - you are on the brink of something powerful.
Always in your corner 👊🏼💗

If you want to improve your speaking skills in your business or career, but you have no idea where to start, I got you! ⬇️
One of my favourite things to do is to begin with a simple self-assessment.
A Self assessment is a powerful tool for evaluating your own knowledge, skills, or performance in any given area, and creating awareness of your own potential for self improvement.
Unlike assessments given by others, a self-assessment allows for YOU to assume greater personal responsibility for your own abilities and performance, so you can feel as though you are in the driver’s seat of your career, your business, and your life.
Swipe through to see 5 ways you can evaluate your own skills to determine how you can start improving them!
Let me know in the comments, which skill would help you in your business/career? Let’s chat about it 💬

There was a time, I desperately wanted to be invisible rather than endure the potential humiliation of being rejected by others.
The feeling of wanting to be invisible weighed on me heavily. In most areas of my life I was ambitious, outgoing and opinionated, but the second I entered the office, the boardroom, or the conference room, I lost that beautiful part of myself.
When I started my own business, being invisible was no longer an option.
If I didn't find a way to promote myself, make sales for my clients, and lead my clients through projects, I wouldn't be able to deliver for them and I wouldn't bring in money for my family.
This was the turning point for me.
The responsibility hit me differently, and frankly, as a woman entering her 30's I was tired of my own bullsh*t.
I began to realize that I was suffocating my own dreams out of fear of what other people might think of me, and because somewhere along the line I stopped believing in myself.
With that realization, I made a decision -- I was no longer available for staying invisible.

Jay Sullivan, the former Managing Partner at Exec Comm, said this in his book Simply Said: Communicating better at work and beyond. Here, Sullivan is talking about the importance of using simple language. Many professionals tend to get caught up in the game of "who sounds smarter?" and end up sacrificing the message as a result.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Sullivan goes on to explain that using a sophisticated vocabulary is not the most important thing for impressing others; in fact, it's not even ranked among the top 3.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What truly matters is impact.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Can you get others to take action on your ideas?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here are 3 tips to ensure your message is impactful:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✔️Keep it Concise - our attention span is short. Your message short and to the point to keep your audience engaged
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✔️Keep it Clear - use simple language to convey powerful ideas and avoid confusion
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✔️Keep it Centred on your Audience - the core message should focus on them and why they should care.
